Astra stood,running to Kara's bedroom. She came back with two large bags. Kane grabbed Reign and Kara.
They were running through the halls Kane infront, Astra in the rear with her gun and the children in the middle.
They turned a corner,coming up on a dead end.
Then Kane bent down and opened a secret hatch in the floor. Kane lowered them both down and threw their bags down after them.
"Kara, Reign you are going to stay here for a while. ",Kane said, "and it's going to feel like forever and it's going to be scary but, "Kane's voice cracked, it was clear she was trying very hard not to cry, "but you have each other and you need, you need to protect each other, okay? "
Reign nodded.
The message got to her more than Kara. The bond made her extremely protective of Kara.
"The bags are filled with enough food to last you till your next summer. "
Astra sighed.
"Promise me, no matter what you hear, you will stay here and you will stay quiet. "
They didn't answer, so Astra said more firmly,
"Promise me! "
Kara looked towards Reign who nodded.
"We promise. "
General Astra In-Ze strode confidently into the war room. Her wife next to her.
The room was filled with kryptons most advanced technology and weapons. There was an oval shaped table in the center of the room, surrounded by Two other war generals.
General Astra In-Ze.
General Kane Van-Lar.
General Non.
General Jor-El.
"Generals." Astra nodded at the general who greeted them. He was new, he'd only been ranked general a few weeks before and it was well earned.
He was ruthless. His men were disciplined, trained, the very best on the planet (Before Astra's, of course. ) everything you'd want in a planet.
His name was Non. He was not from one of the elite families. He dug his way from the very bottom to the top. He was a respectable leader,and Astra hated him.
He had no respect for his superiors. Even less for the five royal houses of krypton.
And he lusted after Astra like she was not betrothed.
And no matter how many broken bones or dead bodies they gave him (Nobody would ever suspect Kane Van-Lar to kill a fellow generals men to send a message )
He would not leave her alone.
"I'm afraid we have company... And they aren't here to witness the beauty of our planet. "
