Nefindine's P.O.V
That day..is a day I will never forget. It was the day I lost my husband, I'll never forget how I felt when the fire and smoke cleared. The sun had greeted us that morning, the rising of the sun warming the slightly cold earth, Zemoth loved the mornings, I did too.It was only then, when we walked through the forest, that we noticed the dark clouds that covered the beautiful sun, the world around us grew darker and we noticed the fire. I still remember how he rushed in and saved our daughter.
She was only 6 at the time, he had run back in, to check to see if there was anyone left..but he never came out. After the fire deceased and the smoke cleared, I ran through the destroyed earth, in search of my husband.
All that was found..was his crown. He was gone and I was alone to rule our island, raise our daughter, and be the hope the forest needed to thrive once more. I can still see the look in his eyes when he handed Lunar to me, he was scared, but he didn't show it. He was worried but pushed passed it. But he was strong, and rushed in, even though he may not ever come back out again.
Zeroth's P.O.VThough I had started the fire, I watched with interest as my brother ran into the fire. I grabbed my favorite dagger, glistened with blood, and decorated with shimmering bloodstones. I inched close to where he was, which was near where a person burnt was.
I whispered a spell to my dagger and held it up. "May you know what pain I have felt, ever since that fateful day, down in the deepest pits of hell!" I shouted, stabbing him right into the head, and dragging the knife down. The person he tried to save was long gone, taken by the roaring flames. I knew for a fact no one could hear me. I tucked the knife into my holster, cleaning it off, and smirked. He would feel the suffering forever of what I have felt for years.
I hoisted him onto my shoulder and tossed him into the fire. I watched him banish and crumble into the flames and pulled out my knife. This fire was hotter than the hottest forest fire, and would easily melt this dagger. The gems would, at most, be all that's left. Then what? Can't track me by a knife's decor.
I pulled the dagger out, tossed the hoister in first, and licked the blood off the dagger. "...Your blood tastes bitter as if you've eaten the sourest of worldly nectors..." I gritted my teeth and tossed the knife into the flames, allowing it to burn and blister under the dangerous flames. "This is how the flames of Hell will feel, eternally!" I shouted into the flames, muted by the deafening screams of those hidden away. I smirked widely and stomped away. I shoved my arms into the fire, gritted my teeth, and feigned hurt.
A/N: I know this pretty short, but this is just you can get to know know what happened before the actual story takes place.
