"What should we do today, Bup?" I ask my son as he sits next to me making a disaster on his high-chair tray table. He babbles some nonsense for a response and I nod my head like I understand every "word" that comes out his mouth.
"Yeah, that sounds good, Brook. We should totally go and crash Ethan's date with Em."
I start to clean around the kitchen and grab Brooklyn out of his high-chair and walk with him to his room to grab him a pair of his cute Gucci shoes. Cautiously, I manage to carry him and his shoes to my room and set him on my bed to grab mine. I want us to match, so I select my Gucci slides. This time I remember to pick up my kid and strap him in his car seat and head off to wherever the hell E said he was going with Emma. I think he said something about coffee, but that could mean anything knowing Emma.
"Dudi, dada, Dudi!" Brooklyn yells from the back
"You wanna listen to Kid Cudi, Bup?"
"Yep," He somewhat manages to say. I raised my kid properly in the music part of parenting, well, I at least think that is a part of parenting. Anyways, he knows all the good stuff, Kid Cudi, Tame Impala, Blackbear, etc. (All the stuff The Twins normally listen to)
The drive wasn't too bad, but we had to stop at a pharmacy because Brooklyn had to go to the bathroom. Yeah, he's potty trained, E and I did that when he was a year old. I parked that car and went around back to get him out if his car and we made our way into the restaurant.
"Hi, can I help you, sir?" The hostess asked as she saw us walk through the door.
" Um, actually I'm meeting my brother and his girlfriend here. Do you mind if I look for them?
"Yeah, no problem. Just tell one of the staff if you're having issues finding them."
I thanked her and went around
the corner. " Bubby!" Brooklyn screamed at the top of his lungs as he saw Ethan sitting at a table with Emma next to him. I few of the people at the restaurant stopped eating their meals and stared at him. His gaze screamed that he was angry with me, but his pissed manner quickly changed to calm and collective. I set Brooklyn down and he ran to Ethan with his arms wide open.
