Janet had just parked her car outside the Sin-Bin and went outside when she saw Emma coming out. She was shaking her head.
"Talk to me", Janet said.
"No go", Emma replied. "Nobody recognized Greg. I've asked and showed the photo to every bouncer, dancer and bartender, nobody knew him. So either he wasn't here, or they're lying."
"They're lying", Janet replied. "Or have a lousy memory."
"How's that?"
"My girlfriend works there. And she recognized him."
"No kidding?"
"No kidding. She's the one who made him pop, even."
"Get out of here."
"Dead serious. She gave him a lap dance, he busted a nut, and she, being the good Samaritan, gave him those 40 bucks we found in his wallet, so he could get a taxi."
"Then why did we find him in an alley? Have a look!" Emma pointed at a taxi stand next to the club.
"All he had to do was to stand there, and wait for a vacant taxi. Yet he decides to walk."
"Hmmm.... maybe he was too ashamed about his little 'accident' to stand in a taxi line, and decided to walk home instead?"
"That's a bit thin, Janet."
"I know, but.... Eh, fuck it. Stupid theory."
They got in the car. Emma looked at her watch.
"It's donut o'clock. Hit it!"
Janet and Emma arrived a regular donut shop, and found themselves a table.
"So", Emma said, blowing on her coffee before taking a sip. "Since we're going to work together for some time, we should get to know each other. Tell me about yourself."
"Sure", Janet replied. "What do you want to know?"
"You got siblings? What's your hobby? What music do you like? What turns you on?" Janet smirked.
"My hobby is simple. I just enjoy watching classic movies from time to time, but not those trillion dollar CGI-orgies which Hollywood pumps out today."
"I agree on that", Emma replied. "I prefer a good script over special effects."
"As for music, I enjoy most genres aside from HipHop, Techno, Soul and Death Metal. I have a sweet spot for hard rock."
"That makes two of us", Emma said.
"Now, turn-ons...hmmmm.... nothing really gets me going like being kissed on the neck." Janet decided to keep her fetish for light-blue jeans to herself, as she hoped to see Emma wearing a pair one day, which she most likely wouldn't if she told her.
"I second that", Emma replied.
"And, I'm an only child. Ok, your turn", Janet said. Emma took a new sip from her coffee, and cleared her throat.
"Well....aside from enjoying a good movie now and then, like yourself, I also practice kickboxing, and collect guns. We seem to share the same taste in music, so that part is covered. When it comes to turn-ons, however, I'm pretty simple. Pardon my bluntness, but if I see a muscular guy in a tight t-shirt, I need to change my panties." Janet giggled.
"Yeah, that's very nice." Emma raised her eyebrows.
"Really? I thought you were....you know....."
"Gay? Not entirely. I'm bi. I enjoy the sight of a well trained man. I prefer women, though."
"Ah. Gotcha. I also get rather tingly by the sight of a nice bulge." Janet giggled.
