The one who got away

She found a friend in her dark days
Someone she didn't expect to exist
Two souls met in the same hidding place
Tried mending each others broken self

Giving her onions instead of apples
Making fun cuz she's scared of spiders
Laughing like two idiots in a trance
Smiling like the world is not like it seems like

In her she saw a comforter
She saw her as an older sister
She tells her her problems
And she always listens

The two are both broken girls
Sharing the same torments
One who only sees darkness
And one feigns strenght

She hides her sadness with smiles
Her madness she hides as she laughs
Suffering under same circumstances
Wanting to hide and run away

But destiny itself is cruel
For it gave a predicament
And their friendship was tested
Until everything shattered

Pandemonium wreck their world
She lied to hide skeletons in her closet
Not knowing a single lie leads to another
Causing friendship break a thousand pieces

She found her in her darkest days
She found a sister and a friend
But she lost her and her world ashen
She will always be the one who got away.
