3rd POV
A smile crept along Dwayne's face as he looked at Lydia laying naked beside him. Memories of them together flooded their minds, but she quickly shook them out of her head. Instead she internally scolded herself for falling right back in his arms.
"So I was thinking you and me could go grab dinner down by the beach." Dwayne offered as his finger slowly caressed her bare back. She recoiled at his touch causing his eyebrow to furrow in confusion.
"No." She simply stated as she quickly got out of the bed and went to the bathroom.
"No what?" He asked as he sat up on the bed.
"I'm not having dinner with you." She said loud enough for him to hear from the bathroom as she slipped on the bathrobe.
"No dinner? Just a literally fuck me and good bye?" He asked sarcastically. She knew arguing with him would lead to getting her feelings hurt so she held her tongue. He wasn't going to give her what she wanted, and was going to trying aim low.
"You know you are something else Lydia," he shook his head while releasing a dry chuckle.
"Whatever. I need you to leave." She stated as she stood under the bathroom doorway.
"Just like that? Not even a god damn reason why?" He asked her as he began to gather his clothes.
"What reason could you possibly want? Cause if I remember correctly, you weren't against me leaving. You didn't even bat an eye the day I packed up my bags." She huffed.
"You come to Hawaii just to fuck me, tell me that you don't want to be with me after I literally gave you everything you could ever want and you still don't get it." his belt jingled as he fixed his pants.
"You know what? Yea I get it! You damn right I wanted to fuck you and I'd be damn if I be your fool again and go back to you! So no! You don't fucking get it! You don't a give a damn about me or my feelings. I spent 6 years trying to live with and change your sorry ass but you'll never be more than the misogynistic asshole you are!" She lashed out.
"You didn't seem to care when I was spending my fucking money on you." he said.
"Hell that was the only way I could get what I fucking wanted! Because you wouldn't let me do a damn thing! Remember when you said I could go back to school right after your residency? When was that going to happen? Oh don't get me started on us having kids!" She was finally telling him how she really felt and wasn't holding back. She had done it for far too long and that is how they ended up here.
"So now the blame is on me right? Im the bad guy in all of this? You got your version of how shit went down and you choose to pin it on me?! You really got some nerve." He said in annoyance and frustration.
"Fuck you. Don't play the victim." She huffed.
"You know what Lydia, File for divorce, do whatever you want. I'm not going to keep playing your stupid games. You like to live in your own world, and you'll never be able to face the truth."
"Fuck you. Just leave me alone before I call security."
"At least we'll know you know how to use a phone."
"The hell is that supposed to mean?" She was pissed off.
"That you claim to care about family, but the one person that needed you hasn't even heard from you. I'm out here looking out for your own niece as if it's my god damn job. Meanwhile you're out doing god knows what and can't even check in on her?"
