Giovanni's Darling

Chapter 1

         They say 'Leaders never use the word failure' but that wasn't the case of Smith's Industries. For the first time the middle-aged stubborn man accepted defeat.
Michael Smith the owner of Smith's Industries tried all the ways that could come to mind and studied every proposal but found no solution to the huge problem his company was facing. The debts were increasing day by day and there was no way out.

His mind wandered to the day before, when one member of his team suggested to seek help from the De Luca's, but Michael knew it'd be too dangerous and risky. Everything was dangerous when it came to the De Luca's especially their younger heir who is now the CEO of their companies.
He's known to be ruthless and arrogant but that's because no one can out smart him in a deal. He's a very successful man who had managed to get his companies always on top and expand the family business that it got 10 times more successful.
Michael knew that the De Luca's wasn't an option because if you lose a deal with them, you lose your business. What person in their right mind would consider a lost deal with the best companies ever known to be?

Upon entering his home he heard sweet laughter that belonged to his beloved wife and his little angel. He loved them more than anything and was ready to do his best to keep them happy.
The moment he stepped inside, slim hands was wrapped around his waist engulfing him in a hug. "I missed you, Dad " he heard the muffled voice of his daughter and smiled a sad smile that she couldn't see as her face was buried in his chest.
" I missed you too, angel "

He greeted his wife in the kitchen with a kiss and headed for their room with many unanswered questions running into his head. How could he tell them? Will he surrender that easily? Was he ready to take a risk for them?.....Yes.
Just thinking about his little daughter suffering in a job for money made all the reasoning inside his head disappear in the air like smoke.

Rosalyn his little sweet kind girl wasn't a bit ready to face cruelty of the outside world. She was naive and shy but that was all due to his protectiveness over her. She was home schooled and never had a boyfriend, just two friends she knew from her mother acquaintances. Oliver and Hannah.
Michael thought that a girl petite and fragile like her shouldn't be working. He treated her like a princess.
With that in mind he came to a conclusion.

         He was ready to do anything for his little Rosalyn even if it meant that he'd have to deal with the arrogant business tycoon.
