Preface - The Bite

I decided to walk home from my friends house, not a good idea.

My house is right behind these woods. The small town I live in, Mystic Falls, is surrounded by a thick forest. I remember it was so fun to walk through them when I was little, but not anymore.

It was starting to get dark, the wind was picking up, and then thats when it changed.

I heard something. A movement somewhere. I stopped and looked around, then I heard it again and quickly turned around.

"Keep going, Callie. Its nothing! Just keep going." i tell myself aloud as i walk back to my house, trying to find the way. I close my eyes tight and open them quickly. I start breathing slowing, taking big breathes in and out.

I feel like something is watching me, following me. I keep telling myself that its just a deer or a squirrel but the sound of the leaves crunching were too loud to be.

I started walking faster, dead leaves crunching beneath my feet crunched faster as I ran. Something swiped fast behind my, I turned around. The same swipe came in front of me. I now couldn't breathe.

I didn't know what it was. My breathing was fast and unsteady and I could feel my heart beating out of my chest. I was frightened.

As i took my step forward about to run, that's when it got me. Pushing me to the ground, my head banging against the ground. I tried screaming but my as the panic took over me, all that came out of me what a slight screech.

I thrashed for it to let of me but its hands wouldn't budge. It growled at me. For a moment I saw some human in it, until it snarled.

It looked like a human, but had the ways of a supernatural. The moment i saw its teeth, thats when i knew what it was. A vampire.

Its eyes looking back into my soul, while its teeth then plunged into my throat. I felt the pain of it taking the blood from me, then stopped.

It took its hands off of me and let me go. Leaving me there, bleeding to death. This doesn't feel like a dream, but i wish it was.
