"Wake up!" A voice called. I heard crashing after the voice. "Wake up!" I heard again.
I cracked my eyes open the slightest bit. The voice was my mom. She had two frying pans and was bashing them together. "What...?"
"Wake up!" More banging. "Time for school!"
"Five more minutes..." I grumbled. I had stayed up late making sure my history homework was finished.
"Wake up!" A new, higher pitched voice squeaked. "Wake up!"
All of a sudden, I feel cold water soak me. "What was that for?!" I yelled, jolting out of the icey cold liquid forming a puddle on my sheets.
"You wouldn't get up! So Dad told me to throw water on you. I just made it ice cold." The new voice said a little too sweetly. This new voice, was my sister, Ki. She then smirked, turned, and skipped out of my room.
I glanced at my mom, she was smiling, and holding the two pans in her hands. "So?"
"Its time for school. Its Monday. Take a shower." My mom stated, before she walked out of my room.
"Fine..." I grabbed my towel and slipped into my bathroom. It looked clean, it smelled clean, it was clean. I always have the satisfaction of knowing my area is clean. I threw my towed over the shower curtain and turned on the water, making sure it was warm.
~~~●●● AFTER THE SHOWER ●●●~~~
I stepped out onto the soft bathroom rug. The whole room was warm and steaming. I dried off and slipped my uniform on. My uniform has a red blouse and a black skirt. We are required to wear high socks, and black shoes. I dryed my hair, and Dutch braided it back out of my face. I stepped out of the bathroom, and realized how cold it really was. The early fall temperature was getting colder. It wouldn't be long until there was snow on the ground. I slid my black flats on my feet and grabbed my backpack.
"You're going to miss the bus!" My sister called from the kitchen.
"I'm coming!!" I raced out of my room and into the kitchen. I grabbed some toast off a plate sitting on the counter. "Thanks mom! See you after school!"
"Wa-" My mom started to speak, but I didnt hear. I was already out the door and on the way to the bus stop. No one was there, so I started to panic. A person walked up and sat on the bench, so I checked my phone. 7:20 A.M. I still has ten more minutes until the bus showed up! I shook my head and decided when I got home, my sister was going to get it.
~~~●●● AT SCHOOL ●●●~~~
I stepped out of the bus. It had got warmer outside. I looked up and saw my big school. I then turned my head ti the side and saw Charlotte, my best friend, waving at me. "Hey Charlotte!" I called.
Charlotte ran over to me. "Hey Ellie! What's new?"
I sighed, "My sister made me early to the bus stop by telling me I was going to be late. She also poured ice cold water on me while my mom was smashing pans together."
Charlotte laughed, "Wow, your family is..."
"Is what?" I said. Charlotte had trailed off and I didn't know why.
"Scary." She replied.
"Who said?" I snapped, a little bit hurt by what Charlotte said.
"My mom and me." Charlotte snapped back.
"Sorry I snapped..." I muttered underneath my breath.
"Same here. Friends?" Charlotte said.
"No, best friends!" I exclaimed.
Charlotte and I smiled. "We are so childish."
"I know." I laughed again and went inside.
Inside, we saw Vanessa, Ace, and Willow. Willow was being bullied, by the look of it. She looked like she was about to cry. Ace was standing behind Vanessa, laughing. I ran over to the trio and swiftly pushed Willow behind me with my arm. "That's enough Vanessa!" I said, raising my voice.
"Hah! And who's going to stop me?" Vanessa scoffed. "You?"
"Me." A new voice spoke up.
'Thank you, Charlotte!' I thought. But as I turned toward the voice, I realized it wasn't Charlotte. It was a boy in my English class, Lucas. Lucas was Willow's twin brother.
"Leave her alone." Lucas stated firmly. "Or else."
"Or else what?" Ace stepped up. The morning bell rang, and Lucas, Willow, and I looked relieved. "Saved by the bell." Ace sneered.
