Rosy red cheeks and soft pink lips.Light brown eyes, and electric blue hair.
Constellations of freckles all over those rosy cheeks and the cute button nose he had.
That was Danny.
Mack's dream.
His love, his life, his inevitably painful crush.
His dear friend.
The one who would get away if Mack didn't confess.
Mack sat across the table from the boy.
His heart thumped against his chest at the speed of light.
He wanted nothing more but to have his hands hold Danny's.
To have his lips kiss Danny's.
To be Danny's.
And only Danny's.
But he couldn't.
Mack was far too afraid.
He was afraid that his crush would do what crushes always do:
Crush his heart into a million glass shards that would cut his insides and leave scars to remind him of the pain.
The pain of being in love.
The pain of it never being reciprocated.
