FALL OF THE RAIN

I always crave on the fall of the rain,

The roar of the thunder

The strike of the lightning

That reveals my true identity

Hidden by the rays of the sun

The hotness of the weather

The noise of the people surrounding me

The rain pours

Hitting the ground

Lowering the heat tuning it to cold

Like my heart that it’s superficial leaves,

When the rain touches my soul

Which makes me see the real me

Which I thought I wasn’t

The rain is almost falling

Granting my call and now,

I’m losing my built wall

Makes me yearn of your presence

Makes me swallow all my words

Makes me collapse just once more

Unveiling the feelings I suppress in these past months

The rain told me “I miss you”

The chills reached my soul

Rerunning all the words you’ve uttered

That always heightens my heart

“I miss you” as the rain started falling

“I miss you” and that saddens me

Coz you never meant to stay.
