It's the year after the battle of Hogwarts and students are required to retake all classes

HERMIONE POV

It's hard to believe that I'm in my final year of Hogwarts... it seems as if it were only yesterday when I met my two best friends, Harry Potter and Ronald Weasley. I... "Mione?" My boyfriend Ron snapped me out of my train of thought. "Yes?" I replied, "We're here" "Mione, are you alright" Harry added on ~ "Yeah, you just have this blank look" "Oh, I'm fine, just thinking" We all got off the train and into the great hall for the feast. Professor Mcgonagoll began the usual speech after the sorting. "Students. It is going to be the greatest year yet at Hogwarts. The Dark Lord is defeated, we have nothing to fret about. Classes begin tomorrow at 8 AM sharp. Should you be late, you will suffer repercussions decided on by your teacher. We will not tolerate any inappropriate behavior. Now, Please enjoy this spectacular feast and go to your head of house with any questions. Oh! I almost forgot, representing our Head Boy and Head Girl are Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy. Congratulations to you both. Please see me after the feast. She clapped and platters of the most delicious food appeared in front of everyone. I glanced over my shoulder only to find Draco Malfoy at the Slytherin table, looking disgusted by me. I just ignored him and continued eating, intertwining my fingers with Ron's. "I can't BELIEVE I have to share a dorm with MALFOY! I saw Ron roll his eyes at the thought. "If he so much as touches you or says anything terrible to you. Let me know." I loved it when he tries to protect me. I squeezed his hand and kissed him on the cheek. "Of course I will." Harry began fake vomiting at all the gushiness. I laughed and finished eating. I waved to the boys as they made they're way upstairs to their dorms. I walked over to where Mcgonagall was and noticed Draco was close behind me. She began speaking of how she knew we had our differences but we had to learn to get along and prefom our duties without a fuss. She then gave us the password to our dorm, which was "Patronus". Then the new Hedmistress led us to our dorms, which was on one of the highest towers. She bid us goodnight. As soon as she was gone, I looked at Malfoy and he looked at me. I said "Hello ferret" and he returned it with "Hello, bother" we said the password at the same time and rolled our eyes at eachother. I went to my dorm which was labeled "Head Girl" and opened the door. I gasped, it was absolutely beautiful. The room had a high ceiling and beautiful windows with drapes. A king sized bed was in the middle. There were rows upon rows of books. The whole thing was decorated in Gryffindor colors. I walked down to our common area and found Draco already there. I sat down to read on the chair opposite him. I got up to use the bathroom when I saw him looking at me with his storm grey eyes. His beautiful storm grey eyes with flecks of blue... Hermione! What are you thinking! You love Ron, he's a bad guy!!! When I came to sit back down, we was back to reading his book. For the rest of the night we ignored eachother. Until I was going to bed that is. Malfoy glanced up at me and quietly said "Goodnight Granger" with a smirk. I turned away and said "Goodnight Malfoy." Why am I blushing? This isn't right, I don't like him whatsoever. He didn't see me go red did he? Oh I hate that boy!! I went up the stairs and to bed, thoughts swirling through my head.

DRACO'S POV

After we were in our dorms, I went to my room and stood there, in awe of how much I liked the design. I headed downstairs and began reading my book. Granger came down about ten minutes later and sat down opposite to me. We sat in silence, just reading. I was thinking rather than reading I'm glad that I've stopped calling her mudblood... it was wrong. My family made me this way. But now that father has been killed by Voldemort, I can change for the better. Mother understands I'm sure. I found myself looking up at Hermione, and noticed that she's very pretty. The way she twirls her hair while she's focused makes her seem even more cute. She got up and noticed me looking at her. As she walked away she turned and gave me an odd look. Shit. She probably thinks I'm being super weird. Later on when she went to bed I decided to say goodnight. It's weird.. I'm never nice like that. I went to bed soon after.
