In our busy lives we often go about our days in a rush whether it is education, jobs, children, family, errands always clouding the ever going to do list. It is due to our busy lives that we are often so focused on meeting these demands that we forget to take moments to stop and breathe.  Everyday and every environment when it gets so busy we need to remember to just breathe. More than that we need to use are other senses, use our eyes to soak in the world, use our ears to hear the life around us and our smell to take in new and familiar scents.

No matter where you are when you stop for a moment and use your senses you senses you embrace one of the millions of moments that are happening around the world. That moment you stop to breathe and use your senses is a moment that you take in a little memory of time.

Have you ever stood in a cafe and just looked? You can see old and new friends reminiscing or sharing their lives with others, you can see students studying, the book lovers and sometimes a person just enjoying coffee on their own. If you listen close enough you can hear people exchanging funny experiences, having serious deep conversations or people making idle chat.  You can smell the freshly ground coffee being poured, the smell of various cakes, sandwiches and croissants all mixing into one. All of this might not seem like much if you are just rushing through your trip to the cafe but when you take all this in around you, you often feel the atmosphere in this case the friendly and homey atmosphere found in everyone's comfort of the cafe.

For me I love to take in the sea. As I walk along the coast where I live i like to stop and breathe in the moment there. I can smell the salt and the crisp wind, hear the water crash of the land or swish calmly, see the water move with emotion. Every quiet moment spent by the coast i take in the atmosphere which is always different like the ever changing moods of the world around us. It makes me think of the positives of the world and grounds me with a connection with the world at that particular time. I might not remember these moments each time I have them but I feel better remembering that there is so much more to just rushing through our lives. So the next time you are going about your day try to breathe in the atmosphere you never know what thoughts and experiences you will receive from it. What moments have you experienced like these?
