She thought she wasn't going to exist anymore. She thought life was over. Living in silence seemed like the best thing to do. Who would've thought that she would've fell in love with a girl. Her whole life she grew up thinking that being gay was one of the worst things she could ever do. Guys were all she could think about. Until eighth grade came upon.
Her best friend, Sophia, had told her about this girl that she met somewhere and they were really good friends and that she was going to be coming to their school. She thought that since Sophia knew her then they could be friends too.
It was the middle of the school year and a new day. The day the girl, Sarah, came to the school, at the first glimple, she got this feeling that she had never felt before. She thought something was wrong with her.
She got to know Sarah very well and were the best friends that anyone could be. Things progressed. Feelings were felt. They knew that they liked each other and more than just friends. And finally, one day Sarah decided to ask her out and she said yes. They were together for six months and in ninth grade they broke up (for reasons that won't be explained). She cried herself to sleep for weeks and those weeks. Sarah was her first love and she didn't know what to do. She didn't know what love was like until she met Sarah.
Her mom didn't want her to date until she was sixteen, but she really liked this girl so she kept it a secret. It wasn't long after they broke up that her mom found out. She didn't know what to do or what to say, but what she did know was that she needed to tell the truth. It was hard for her because she didn't want her to talk to Sarah ever again, but the thing is, she was still in love with Sarah and couldn't stop looking at Sarah every time they passed in the hallway or when they were in the same class together.
She didn't want to leave the love she once had behind. She may have hated her for the longest time, but the only person that could fix her broken heart was the one that broke it.
They became friends again. She wasn't crying wondering what she did wrong for Sarah to hurt her like that. She realized that she shouldn't hate her, but she should forgive her.
Life is too short to hate. It's too short to love. It's too short to keep secrets. The truth is the best way to go, but sometimes it's easier to lie even if the lie is the worst lie you will ever tell.
----------(The "her" in this story is me and the others in the story are fake names to keep their names safe.) Please comment on this and tell me what you thought. This is my first story that I've written and it might be bad but I wanted to start off with a story that I could think of that wasn't fake. Please tell me how it was. It would be great. :)----------
