After the bell rang at the end of the day, they all met up outside the school. No one had organized anything. They just kind of... did. "Hey, you guys want to come back to my house? My mom probably still has some breakfast buffet left" Karma said with a chuckle. Everyone agreed and let their parents know. "Hey, you think we could take that shortcut again, guys?" Pat asked. "I want to put that chunk of wood back... I feel like I'm cursed or something," "uh, sure, I guess. Let's go" Jason said. And once again, they started walking through the forest.
When they were back at the tree, there was a strange feeling in the air. It was like a dark energy, a dark aura. It sent a chill down all their spines. "Well, I guess I'll put it back now..." Pat said, walking towards the tree. But then she stopped. Everything was quiet. She reached out, her finger pointing forwards. And then, she touched some kind of barrier, and a purple sphere flashed around the tree. She jumped back. "What the..."
She walked up to it and touched it, holding her hand on it. The sphere flashed back and stayed. "Hey karma... look at me," Sam said, and karma turned to him. Sam looked at karmas face, then the dome around the tree. He looked back and forth between the two a couple times. "Karma... it's the same color as your eyes..." he said. And everyone instantly started looking at karmas eyes. "Oh my god... they are!" Jackson yelled a little too loud.
karma was freaking out. what in the world... I thought I felt super weird... he thought. but then he noticed something. "hey... where did pat go?" he said, and everyone looked to where she was just standing. she was gone. "did she leave..?" sam asked. "i don't know... i hope she's ok... wait... where do we go?" karma said. "shoot... she's the only one who knows where to go!" everyone was freaking out.
