My promise

* 3 months later*

Me and ibara have grown real close and we became great friends.

As I walked to lunch I heard things

"That's him"

"I feel bad for him"

"Ibara May seem like a nice person but she is just playing him"

"She's probably gonna try and get into his head

"She probably just wants him cause he's strong

I didn't realize all these people talked so down on her

I ignored it and walked to the cafeteria and saw ibara with some of her classmates

I didn't mean to but I heard their conversation with my enhanced hearing

"Ibara I can't believe he actually thought you were his friend"

"Yeah he's around your little finger"

"I can't believe he actually thinks I'm his friend like he's just so lame and annoying"

I was in shock

I felt so much mixed emotions

I put on my headphones and walked into the lunch line

I was in my train of my thought until someone touched my shoulder and brought me out of it

"Hey AJ"

It was Ibara

"Hey Ibara" I said tryna sound as normal as usual

"I was wondering if you wanted to hang out with me later"

I didn't know what to say but I felt like everything was back to normal and none of those things were said

"Of course"

"Alright meet me in the front after school" she said with her signature smile

*after school*

I was in the front of the school waiting for her like she asked

She showed up with a group of people

"So what did you want to do"

"Oh this"

She wrapped me around with her vines and soon after I was drenched with water. I almost drowned

She was laughing at me

"Why" I said looking down

"Why huh cuz you think your better than everyone else and cuz I don't like you"

"Is that so" I said still looking down

"And because your annoying even your family would hate you"

I tilted my head a bit to only give her a glimpse of one eye

I was Mad for once

"What's with the eyes you a cat now" one of her associates laughed

"Naw..... I'm a panther" I said as I broke the vines with complete force

I was soaking wet

"What the" I looked at her and she flinched

I walked away and to the dorm

Before I could get half way I fell

"Damn those thorns" I said looking at the blood dripping from the points the thorns pierced through

I managed to get to my floor before I fell again in front of someone's door

As I was tryna get up I realized that her eyes were a different color

My vision blurred than I blacked out

I woke up to see I was in my room

"I see your up" I heard a female voice say

I looked around to see that it was momo

"Yeah I guess so"

"I like your room but it lacks pink" she said looking around

"You still love pink huh"

"I didn't change all that much"

"Trust me you changed a lot"

"So what happened to you that landed did you passed out at my door" she said sitting on the side of the bed

I told her what happened

She was mad and shocked

"You mean Ibara the one always preaching about how we must no fight but love one another and is always nice"

"Yup shocker huh I guess it was an act or at least she just hates me"

"I'll kill her" momo said with an really scary look on her face

"Don't worry bout her I learned my lesson anyway how did I end up in my bed"

"Well when you passed out I heard a loud thump so I went to check it out. I saw you laying their in such condition I couldn't just leave you there. So I picked you up brought to you to your room. I tried to treat your wounds but they were already healed. So I just cleaned up the blood and iced you up" she finished

"Thank you a lot"

"Huh"

"I said thanks"

"No problem"

She turned into a blushing and stuttering mess.

"You don't hate me now do yah"

She pouted

"No" she whispered

I say up and gave her a hug

"Thank you I mean it"

I let go and turned on my tv

"Why did you leave"she said looking down

"What" the question shocked me

"Why did you leave me"she cried

"Cuz I wasn't strong enough to protect you"
I said . She looked at me with disbelief.

"When that day happened I didn't forgive myself for what happened so I had to get stronger so I asked my dad to train me and he took me back home and they figured out my quirk" I said looking at her

"That day you were in the hospital I just couldn't forgive myself" I was cut off by being tackled to my bed.

"AJ" she said lying on top off me while holding me real tight

I got up and she looked at me.

I went into my drawer and pulled out something

"Remember this"

It was a bracelet

"I kept it and all ways wore it during training and every where I went to remind me of you and why I was fighting"

Momo has her hands over mouth with tears coming down her face

"And I never got to give this to you but here you go"

It was a black panther cub stuffed animal

"Your the only who knows bout my family and you kept it a secret all this time I'm grateful"

She took it and just cried more

"And to this day I'll keep my promise"

I did our hand sign from the time we became friends

"I'll protect you and lead you to the light Mo-Chan"

"I'll fight for you until my last breath I'll make sure harm doesn't come your way I swear on my life Mo-Chan"
I said with a determined look and a huge grin

She was on her knees crying while holding the cub.
