Mazikeens POV
The day dragged on, before I could finally leave work and make my way home. I didn't live too far away from work, but long enough that I had to drive there and back each day. Some people would call me fortunate, to have my own car, a stable job and a beautiful apartment - but I call that life. I had to learn to fend on my own since the day I left school, everything I had now isn't something my parents gave me, it's all what I worked hard for.
My apartment was on the nice side of the city, overlooking the beach. It was only a one bedroom, with high ceilings and beautiful walls and flooring. It had taken me years to get it to the way it is now. The kitchen was completed with grey marble-top bench's, and wooden flooring - my favourite place in the apartment, where I could freely express myself in preparing meals.
I had the near the same routine every day, come home from work, prepare a meal, shower and settle for bed. I was never the type to have people over, or even go out and socialise for that matter. I'd genuinely enjoy my own company, and like to steer away from all people who I encounter on a day to day basis.
Except that one girl, whom I met at work this day.
She was fragile, or so it seemed. She was brunette, with long hair, as if she'd never had it cut. Her eyes were rounded and beautiful brown coloured. She was slightly shorter than me, but the perfect height. She was sweet, and sensitive and seemed rather intimidated by me.
Eve.
Even her name was so elegant. I had wondered if it was short for something, or maybe it was just simple, short and sweet - much like herself. She caught my eye immediately, but I can't understand nor put into words why I was so drawn to this random girl I met in the supermarket.
It's like she had an aura surrounding her that just convinced me to go up and talk to her. Or, offer my help in that case. The way her eyes were darting from my head to toe made me feel things that I had never felt before. It was crazy, to say the least.
And now, I don't know if I will ever see her again.
The remainder of the night consisted of putting together a quick dinner, showering and climbing into my bed. Usually, I'd fall straight to sleep knowing I was in my peaceful place, alone. But this time, I couldn't help but wonder what it would be like with someone next to me as I slept.
Usually, I never get weird sappy feelings, but something is different.
So different.

I had the next day of work, which meant I had two days to completely rejuvenate myself before another week of working with bratty customers and their awful behaved offspring who constantly stare at me with their small beady eyes.
I would usually spend my weekends catching up on TV shows, or going down to the spa for a massage. Sometimes I'd even go for a stroll if I felt like being one with nature. However, today I decided to go down to my work and grab together some grocherys for the week - something I'd usually do during work days seeing as I am hopeless at putting together a list of stuff I would need to buy at once.
I arrived to the store and dawdled around throwing anything I'd think of needing, into the trolley. It wasn't long before a voice caught me off guard, "Didn't think I'd see you so soon," It said.
I turned around to see the petite girl who'd constantly been at the back of my mind. I smirked and lent against the trolley. "Same, you getting some more bread?" I asked, jokingly.
She smirked back, and instant weird feelings hit me in my stomach. Why was her smirk so mesmerising? "No, actually, I came to find you," She bit her lower lip.
