The air was tense, very tense, as the man went from room to room, holding a cross, and mumbling. Melvin, was standing in the middle of the living room, his arms crossed, and Marik, was sitting on the couch, a nervous smile stuck on his face. Lexi, they just stood next to Melvin, finding it amusing how nervous her cousins were. It had started with things moving around the room. A book Melvin was reading ended up in the fridge, and their plants ended up crushed on the bathroom floor. Then it got weirder, like dead animals ending up in their doorsteps, though they didn't have any kind of pet, no matter how much Marik would beg for one. Soon it even got violent, Melvin woke up yesterday with a small butter knife sticking out of his leg. Melvin finally got sick of it, and called in a priest. But Lexi weren't scared, in fact they knew exactly who was behind all of this. The Bakura brothers, Thief king, Yami Bakura, and Ryou. The evil spirits had been trying to reach out to Lexi for a while now. Even though she knew Melvin would forbid it, though Marik seemed to get along just fine with Yami Bakura, she wanted to be with them just as much as they did. Lexi knew that the brothers wouldn't be happy with the house being blessed, so they would reach out to the brothers, before they went even more physical with the hautings.
Thief Kings Pov:
Angry is what we are right now. Melvin got a priest into their house, so now we're restricted. Besides Ryou, he's deathly afraid of priests, and I had to carry him like a sack of potato to the house. He's scared of that, and bumblebees. Right now we're on the door of the house, talking. "I still don't see why it has to be a priest." Ryou said. Yami rolled his eyes and grumbled an insult. "We're not here to talk about priests, we're here for Lexi's soul, and we won't leave without them!" I twitched. "How are we supposed to bloody get in? We can't remember?!" I put a hand in my chin, thinking about what Yami Bakura said. I grinned mysteriously. "Who said we had to go inside?"
Lexi's Pov:
After the priest left, Melvin went to cook dinner, and Marik went to take a shower. I was sitting alone in my room. "Outside", I heard someone whisper in my head, and I grinned, knowing it was the Bakura brothers reaching out to me." Slipping outside, and barley avoiding a Melvin with a spatula, I looked around. Feeling a presence behind he, I spun around, meeting the sight I wanted to see. Ryou walked up to me, and covered my eyes with his hands. "Do you want to be with us...forever?" He whispered in my ear. " Yes, " I whispered.
Inside, Melvin finishing up dinner, and Marik getting out of the shower, they were unaware of the empty shell of Lexi, laying outside. They were also unaware of the four spirits on the roof, their eyes glowing brightly.
