It was after the event of today that Rev. Fr. Sylvester saw the need to own a car and if he must own a car, it got to be a multipurpose car. Rev. Fr. Sylvester is outstanding in many things but uniquely unique when it come to time consciousness. It has been so since he read one of Williams Shakespeare's plays where Williams wrote "an hour too early is better than a second too late." He was just then in junior secondary one and had stumbled on the play at the school library.  He was not then a reading type at least, not voracious reader; but he has heard so much about Shakespeare, not so much though but everybody talk about him and his works. Notable people quote and reference him in writings or in speeches. Who is this man so much famous or perhaps important to almost every reasonable persons. He picked up the book and read through, it took him two weeks to finish it. And he got that quote out of it which has since then been his guiding principle. He never defaulted in anything at the seminary and punctuality, he was a legend to look up to. No wonder held different positions and for the first time in the history of SS. Peter and Paul major seminary, Ibadan, somebody was two times Senior Prefect and that was Sylvester.
He was to be at the parish for mass after his mass at St. Catherine outstation, some kilometres away. He had earlier trained mass servers at St. Catherine and do not need to go with any from St. Charles Lwanga parish except himself and the mass box on the Suzuki bike. He never extend mass beyond two hours, and he is so calculating and timing that he must be at the parish before the time. But today was different, they have been waiting for him for about one hour now. It is rather unusual.  Maybe his bike is gone bad... giving him problem or some sort. Parishioners were getting worried and some persons were now thinking of going to see what must be keeping him. Almost everybody tried calling him, not that his number wasn't going through but that he was not answering the calls.  This could be understood when he was maybe at mass, but he must has closed from mass and should be here by now.
The catechist, Dr. Pascal Isele tried to calm the situation, he assured them that nothing was wrong and that father would arrive soon. Perhaps, he must having been attending to something so urgent. He was doing this, because by pastoral, he was the next authority and he owes it a duty to reduce the tension that was raising because Fr. Sylvester has not come back from outstation; even though he himself was panicking deep down within him.  If Rev. Fr. Sylvester had knew he won't be able to make it he would have asked another priest to help him out...
