Kiri's POV~

I booked it across the makeshift battle field. I had to get to him. I heard some of the police officers load the guns, there's no doubt in my mind that they were all taking aim for me. Thankfully the four that were left on our side sprung into action, covering for me to get to Zuku.

When I finally reached him, he could barely keep his eyes open. The bullet would was on his chest. He was bleeding out. I tried to apply pressure, but I don't think it was working. I felt the tears streaming down my face mix with sweat and Zuku's blood.

I felt a hand touch my face. I looked up slightly to see his face. He had a tired sort of smile. "Hey Kiri." He said. It sounded like a greeting. I choked back a sob. "Hey Zuku. Don't worry, we're gonna get you help. It's going to be okay." I said to him. He slowly used his thumb to wipe off one of my tears.

"No it's not. It's not going to be okay, and that's fine. Everyone dies at some point, I guess it was just my turn, but I need you to promise me something, can you do that?" He asked. I was shaking my head and repeatedly say 'no' and 'not like this'. He gently moved my face to look at his again. "Can you promise me something?" He asked again. I gently nodded my head. "Anything Zuku."

"I need you to keep living. Don't lock yourself away from everyone like I did. I want you to enjoy life, for me and Kami. I want you to find happiness. Promise me you'll try." He said. His voice was starting to get weaker.

I choked on another sob before responding. "I promise." I said.

He shakily nodded his head. "Good. I want you to know that no matter what, I'll always love you. No matter what or who you choose, I'll love you." He slowly started to close his eyes.

"I love you to Zuku." Then he was gone.

I'm pretty sure I screamed. I'm pretty sure I got up and started to yell and make my way over to the cops.

"Who the fuck shot him?!?!"

I'm pretty sure Bakugou held me back. I'm pretty sure he was whispering into my ear.

"He wouldn't want this. You know that."

I'm pretty sure I collapsed and went limp in his arms. I'm pretty sure he carried me back to the warp gate. I'm pretty sure I saw Todoroki and Dabi grab Zuku.

I'm pretty sure of a lot of things. One of them being, I'm pretty sure my heart died with him.

Izuku's POV~

"I love you to Zuku."

That's the last thing I heard before the whole world went black. When I woke up, it was hard to tell that I actually had, everything was just as black. Expect for one figure.

"Kami?"

"Hey buddy."
