But there is a certain guild in a certain town that soars high above the rest, one from which countless legends have been born... a guide that will no doubt continue to create legends well into the future. Its name... is Fairy Tail."

~Trouble is lurking in the shadows and waiting to strike an unfortunate member of the most famous and the largest guild in Fiore, Fairy Tail. ~

A girl, no older than the ripe age of 15, is perusing the request board for a new and exciting job to partake in. She was staring intently at the board with bright blue eyes, with locks of her caramel flowing down to her hips, and shimmering silver earrings in her pierced ear. To her right is a feline companion with wings and a light purple color adorning the fur, the guild mark on the back in white, and a dark blue dress to complete the look, this companion is a female exceed. The names that were given to these ladies are Samantha Marvell and Alli.

A specific light tan paper tacked on to the dark brown of the board catches the eye of the 15-year-old. Long fingers, decorated with rings on her thumbs, middle fingers, and right ring finger, reaches out and grabs the flyer, looking it over to see what the job entails. The young woman calls out to her partner, who is looking at the top of the board, and says, "Alli, I seem to have found a job that suits us." Looking at what is written on the flyer, Samantha reads it aloud for her partner, Alli, to hear: "Looking for a wizard who can get rid of bandits that have been terrorizing our town of Gentle Grove. They are magic wielders. REWARD: 100,000 Jewels."

"It is a good one, it does seem to be quite easy," Alli says coming down from the top and landing on her companion's shoulder. "I'll tell Mira that we're taking this job. Then we can start getting ready to leave," Samantha informed Alli. As she starts to depart from the board, a young blunette girl of the name Wendy Marvell sneaks up behind the brunette and jumps on her sister's back. Grabbing underneath Wendy's thighs and handing the flyer to her companion in the air, Samantha looks over her shoulder to ask her sibling, "What are you doing, Wendy? Why'd you jump on my back?"

"I wanted to see what you were doing," Wendy explained to her sibling. "You shouldn't jump on people's backs like that, child," a white cat with wings said from behind the siblings. "But Carla-" Wendy starts to complain but Carla cuts in, "No buts Wendy. I'll let it go this time." "You said that the last few times though, Carla," says Alli. As they reach the bar, Wendy gets off of Samantha's back and Carla and Alli land on their partners' left shoulders. Placing the flyer on the top of the bar counter, Samantha calls Mira over to get their job approved.

"Hey Sammy, how are you doing? Got a job request?" asked a white-haired woman behind the bar, this woman is one of the strongest women in Fairy Tail and goes by Mirajane. "Yep, here ya go, Mira," Samantha says to the busty lady. "Alright, you're all set, see you after your job. Goodbye, Sammy and Alli," says Mira. Bidding goodbye to Wendy, Carla, and Mira, Samantha and Alli part from the bar to get ready for their job. With Alli on her shoulder, Samantha dodges her guild members to get to the front entrance. They exit the guildhall and start on their way to Fairy Hills, the housing for the women of the guild. Wendy, Samantha, and their companions share a room together and split the rent.

Upon entering her room, Samantha grabs a black back-pack to put her necessities for the journey in. Putting in a change of clothes, a hairbrush, hair products, and bath supplies, Samantha put the bag on her back and called to her partner. "Have you finished yet, Alli?" called Samantha walking into the main area of the room. "Yeah, let's get going?" said Alli also coming into the main room. They began walking out of Fairy Hills and on their way to the train station. Arriving at the train station, the two girls bought their tickets and boarded the train. Roaming the train, the girls find a booth in the middle of the train and sit down there to get ready for the long train journey.
