I remember it like it was yesterday, the soft sent of blooming flowers on Floor 47. The hard sound of my pacing feet, mellowed out by the blissful silence, lightly ringing through my ears as I made my way towards the warp gate of «Floria». I rested my hand on my blade, ready for any mobs to spawn on me. I glanced around sporadically, anticipating an encounter that may not come. My somewhat-light armour hugged my lighter figure, showing of the definitions of my body.
Anxiety left my body, entering «Floria» felt like a weight being lifted of my shoulders. However some still stayed, as the reason I was here played in my mind over and over again, even in present day. As I approached the town center I saw her, glowing as normal, helping a player that was struggling to navigate the town. «Asuna».
She finished giving the player direction and turned, meeting my gaze perfectly, beaming with delight. She waved and began making her way towards me. My bestfriend in this hell hole know as SAO.
As she waved, I noticed something on one of her fingers. Seeing this gave me a unflattering grin, which seemingly caused her to stop in her tracks. I slouched in a creepy manner and began rubbing my hands together.
"Well, my friend, what do we have here?" I made my way to her, taking her hand and inspecting the ring. I glanced up to her face, witnessing the blushing mess she was, I began to put the pieces together. "You would happen to be getting married would you!" I could barely contain my excitement through my own jokes. She gave a brisk nod before replying,
"Me and Kirito are getting married in a few days. In the Knights Cathedral, and I wanted to ask you to come." She the proceeded to chop down on the top of my head, creating a very audible thud. "But after the way you just acted I would be in my right mind to not let you!"
My memory faded, the image of her beaming smile burned into my mind and those words echoed throughout my mind "Me and Kirito."
"Saito!" A loud smack brought me from the depth of my mindscape, a large ruler resting on my desk. I looked up to see my tutor giving me an angry glare. "Were you even paying attention?" I looked down and shook my head, causing my tutor to give a loud sigh. "What I asked was, can you please translate the paragraph into English?"
I stood up with the material, Shakespeare's Othello, and began to recite the quote of Iago:
"O, beware, my lord of jealousy;
It is the green-ey'd monster which doth mock,
The meat it feeds on."The tutor stood there stunned for a moment, before gesturing for me to be seated. "That was very well read, Saito. However, please continue to concentrate in my class."
The tutor went back to the class, and I returned to my peace. However, it was short lived, as I felt a pen push into my back. I turned my head slightly to see «Klein» smiling at me. "Can you give me a hand on the material, I don't get it." I give a small sigh, but nodded in agreement.
After all that mayhem, the lesson went on like normal. As the bell rang, the final lesson before lunch had ended. I gathered my stuff and waited for «Klein» to gather his. Though he didn't have much to get, so we quickly made our way to the rooftop. "You brought food right?" My coarse, stoic voice, called out to «Klein», causing him to violently search his bag. I sighed, making my way back down the stairs to him. I gave him my bag, and began to walk off. "You get a spot, I'll get you some food."
"Something with alot of meat."
I made my way to the cafeteria, mostly ignoring everyone who went by. Making a quick stop at the vending machine before going to get the food. I heard light cursing at the counter, peering my head, I saw Asuna, trying to buy something. I made my way to the counter, looking at her items, I saw an apple and some crisps. "What's wrong?"
