The Bond Between Us

Chapter Eleven

Riley woke up the next morning and it felt like any other day until he felt the body still currently glued to him and he remembered everything that happened last night. Jayden cried in his arms for hours, Riley did make sure to give him water afterwards thank you very much, and by the time he was done he asked Riley to stay with him. And how could he say no? So he stayed in the spare bedroom and fell asleep with one of his soulmates in his arms.

"Riley-" His mom stopped talking upon seeing him in bed with a boy, "What is going on here?" Riley's eyes were wide as saucers and he gently moved his soulmate off him as he got off the bed. Jayden whined softly at the loss of contact but did not wake up. He gestured for his mom to be quiet as he led her out of his room and quietly shut the door.

"I can explain, I promise."

"Well then you better hurry up." She gritted out through clenched teeth. She walked into the kitchen and Riley followed without a word. They sat at the kitchen counter next to his father.

"What's going on?" His dad asked.

"Ask your son. There's a strange boy in his bed."

"What?!"

"Please let me explain!" They both took a deep breath and his father gestured for him to start.

"That's Jayden. One of my soulmates." They quickly went to say something but he held up a hand for them to be quiet, "Yesterday I went to the library to find Caiden there with his friends and Jake was there, my other soulmate, and we met for the first time in the public library and he's perfect, you have no idea. They both are. When Jake smiles his eyes turn into these cute half crescents. He has the cutest eye smile I have ever seen. And even though I haven't seen Jayden smile properly yet, if at all, I have noticed that he has dimples and you both know how weak I am for dimples. Anyway, not the point. So Jake and I meet and then this cute boy walks into the library and sits at the table next to ours. He brought food and ate it there and he looked super upset. Then he stands up and walks to our table and Aiden, one of Caiden's friends, asked him if he needed something and the boy just starts crying. Aiden hugged him for a bit but he ran out. At that point, Jake and I had both noticed our softly burning wrists so we knew that boy had to be Jayden and we ran out after him. When he heard us coming he cowered and covered his head while asking us not to hurt him." His parents both gasped at that.

"So he's been abused." Him mom whispered.

"That's what I thought too. So I managed to to get him to calm down very slightly and he agreed to come home with me. We all came back here and Jayden mentioned how everyone hurts him. His dad beats him, his mom insults him while his sister just laughs. Then he goes to school and the kids there beat him too and the teachers do nothing. I don't want him to go back home. He doesn't want to go back home. Please don't make him go back home."

"Don't worry. He's not going back there," His dad said. "But that still doesn't explain why you were sharing the same bed, young man."

"Oh, right. So after that I convinced him to stay and I got the guest bedroom ready for him. I got him a towel, a toothbrush, and one of my pjs. He went to take a shower but I stayed in the guest room because I wanted to say goodnight. He came back and I saw him blush and he's precious but then he begged me to not make him go back home and I told him that he didn't have to go back there unless he wanted to and that no one would touch him unless he wanted to and we hugged and he started crying and he cried in my arms for hours and then he asked me to stay with him and how could I say no? So I stayed and I fell asleep with one of my soulmates in my arms and I honestly don't know how I have managed to sleep before this." He let out a big sigh once he was finished and his mom hugged him while his dad rubbed his back.

"Congrats. You finally found your soulmates," His mom voiced. Riley had never loved his parents more. They accepted him, wholeheartedly, and he was so so lucky.

"Now go back to him. He's going to be waking up in an unfamiliar environment and it'd be a lot better for him if you were there." His dad stated. Riley nodded and, after thanking them both, went back upstairs. Jayden was still asleep when he got back so he crawled into bed and gently moved him back onto his chest. Jayden sighed softly and Riley smiled.

He was already so whipped and he didn't mind at all. He would move worlds for them if they just asked. He had no idea that he could love two people this fiercely yet here they are and he wouldn't have things any other way. He didn't think love at first sight was possible until now but it was like his soul recognized them and his heart was rejoicing at having them near him. They felt like home.
