Mal's Secret (part 2)

"I still don't get why you did that." Rose said still annoyed.

"I told you." Audrey stated. "I don't want you ruining their relationship because you're jealous."

"Yeah, but you also said you like him." Rose replied.

"I know. And I do, but I never planned on finding dirt on her and showing him." Audrey said. "Anyways I gotta go. See you around." 

(The next day)

Rose saw Mal standing by her locker, then Rose smirked.

"Hey Mal." Rose greeted her by walking up.

"Hey Rose. How are you?" Mal replied asking.

"Well Mal I'm doing well, but why are you here? It's Saturday." Rose answered.

"I know. I just had to get something for a friend." Mal told her.

"Who? Ben?" Rose questioned.

"No." Mal stated.

"You sure?" Rose checked.

"Yes Rose. I have other friends besides Ben." Mal told her.

"What did you get?" Rose wondered.

"It's not really important to you." Mal answered.

"Well I just want to say I love your style." Rose replied.

"Random, but thanks." Mal said awkwardly.

"Mal! You know what you should do?!" Rose asked excitedly.

"No, but I bet it's something exciting." Mal answered.

"You should dye your hair blonde!" Rose announced.

"Why?" Mal wondered.

"I think you would look really pretty. I think Ben would love it too." Rose explained.

"Really?" Mal asked.

"Yeah! I used to have blonde hair." Rose told her.

Mal just smiled and nodded as Rose explained.

"Well this was fun, but I should really get going. I'll see you later Rose." Mal said.

"Okay. Well think about it." Rose said as Mal turned around.

Mal turned back around and gave Rose a smile and thumbs up.

When she walked away Rose rolled her eyes and was annoyed.

"Ben! The one I wanted to see." Audrey said.

"Hey Audrey. You need something?" Ben wondered.

"You...." Audrey mumbled shakily.

"What?" Ben questioned.

"I mean. I need you to be at my party tonight." Audrey repeated.

"Tonight?" Ben asked.

"Yeah. What are you too busy?" Audrey joked.

"No. It's just me and Mal had something planned tonight." Ben was explaining.

"Bring her! I need people to come. And if the king is coming, then they will too." Audrey told Ben.

"Okay we'll come." Ben agreed.

"Tonight?! Ben, you know she doesn't like me, right?" Mal checked.

"What are you talking about?" Ben questioned.

"She's hated me ever since I 'stole' you at the royal ball." Mal started explaining.

"Maybe she's coming around." Ben suggested.

"Then why did she freak out when you proposed to me?" Mal wondered.

"I don't know." Ben shrugged.

"Oh you want to know something else?" Mal asked.

"What?" Ben replied.

"You friend, Rose came up to me when I was getting something for Lonnie and was being all weird." Mal told him.

"Weird how?" Ben asked.

"Asking why I was at my locker. Wanting to know who it was for. Then she said I should dye my hair." Mal was telling him.

"She just wants to know you better." Ben told her.

"The thing is. I'm actually considering the hair dying." Mal stated.

"Really?" Ben wondered.

"Yeah. Is that not okay?" Mal checked.

"Mal. You can do whatever you want to your hair." Ben stood up. "I gotta run. Bye." He kissed her head before leaving.

Mal was about to get up, but was stopped.

"Mal. The girl I was looking for." Rose said in a sweet voice.

"Hi Rose. Look I need to get somewhere." Mal tried walking away.

"Wait this won't take long." Rose stopped her.

Mal sat back down at the table. "So what"s up?"

"I know the truth about you." Rose said.

"Excuse me?" Mal questioned with a slight smile.

"I'm serious. You're actually from the Isle of the Lost and not Auradon." Rose told her.

"How did you..." Mal was speechless.

"Look this is how this is gonna go. You're gonna break up with Ben and leave and I won't tell anyone the real truth. Or I tell everyone, especially Ben the truth and send you back where you belong." Rose was telling her.

"Rose please. I'm happy here. Is there something else I can give you?" Mal offered.

"Nope. I told you what I want." Rose answered.

"You can't do this. I won't do it." Mal said.

"Really you want Ben to know the truth about you?" Rose wondered.

"Rose!" Audrey yelled to her.

"Audrey? Can't you see we're in the middle of something right now?" Rose asked annoyed.

"Yes I do. Leave Mal alone. Unless you want me to tell everyone what you did." Audrey threatened.

"I didn't do anything." Rose replied sounding nervous.

"You know." Audrey glared at her.

"Fine! This isn't over Mal!" Rose looked back at Mal before storming off.

"Thanks for doing that Audrey." Mal thanked her.

"Yeah whatever. She can be really annoying, but this doesn't make us friends." Audrey told her.

"I know." Mal nodded.

"Also don't tell Ben about this. He doesn't need to know what his best friend is saying to his girlfriend. Sorry fiance." Audrey explained. 

"Got it." Mal agreed.

"Good. Well I guess I'll see you at the party tonight." Audrey said before walking away.

Mal watched her walk away, then looked at her hair. She ran to the hair salon. 

A couple hours later Mal walked out of the salon with whiteish blonde hair and purple tips. She checked the time. Then ran back to her dorm to get ready for the party.
