The next morning, I woke up thanks to the light shining in my face. I must have forgotten to close the curtains last night before going to bed. I got up and went to go get dressed, then realized something: I never went shopping for clothes. Embarrassing. I went out into the living room and saw Viney passed out on the couch and Julian gone. That's convenient.
I went to the kitchen and saw how messy it was: food wrappers, soda cans, 3 glasses, and random, extra cups all over the place. I slowly back away from there and went outside. Even outside, I saw some more wrappers and 1 or 2 soda cans. I even caught some bottles lying around here and there.
"What on Earth did we do last night?" I thought to myself out loud.
"I don't know, but we're never doing that again."
To my surprise, Viney was at the doorway, holding her head. "Is your head alright?"
Viney nodded. "Just a headache...and a hangover like no tomorrow."
I nodded too, agreeing with never doing whatever we did again. I still had no know what happened these past 4 years though. That's a question to ask Julian. He's visited every day. He would probably know....maybe? I knew I couldn't get my hopes up, but it's worth a shot.
Julian came back in a few minutes later with bags in his hand from...Rue21? Is that where he has been all morning? "Hey, Amy. I figured you wanted something to change into, and a variety of other stuff."
Julian had me figured out already. Totally wasn't just because I didn't come here without any clothes anything. That would be ridiculous... Okay, so maybe that is the reason, but how would I know? I took the bags immediately and went to my room, glad to change.
A few minutes later, I came back out wearing a white blouse and a pair of light blue jeans with sandals, all stuff that Julian bought me. He had picked others, but this was what I chose. He didn't do bad with picking everything out. Actually, I'm amazed that he even knew my shirt, pants, and shoe sizes.
Julian looked up at me from his phone when I came out and smiled. "I didn't do bad for a guy shopping for a girl."
That made me laugh. "That's very true. You picked good stuff too. Thank you so much."
Julian nodded. "After the 3 hours I spent looking for decent stuff, I'd say that looks amazing on you."
"Thank you."
Viney pitched in. "3 hours? To find stuff that simple? Where were you looking, the soup store?"
Julian looked at Viney. "It's easier to shop for guys than girls, ma'am, thank you very much."
Man, these 2 bicker a lot. Has this been happening for the past 4 years? "Guys, please. We were doing good yesterday."
Julian looked at me. "Oh, we're not bickering." He looked at Viney. "At least, I'm not."
Viney glared. "So I'm the one bickering? You can pack your crap and get out if that's how it's gonna play."
"As if I trust you with Amy."
"You should. I'm a better friend anyway."
"Oh yeah. Like I've seen you visit her in the hospital at all."
"I had no idea she was there!"
"You were the one to-"
"ENOUGH!"
That shut them up in a split second. I was tired of their fighting already and it was only what, 10 in the morning? I hated that I cut Julian off because now I'm curious on what he was going to say. "Guys. Just stop. It's 10 in the morning and you two are arguing like you're married. Will you knock it off already?"
