Silver was sitting on the ground, when she heard the familiar tone of Clarisse LaRue's ugly face.

The daughter of Ares was apparently doing her newbie ritual once again, as Annabeth tried to stop it.

"Hey Clarisse! Don't you have anything better to do right now? I mean, picking on new kids. I don't think that should be your style. You smell so bad already."

Silver's voice was as sharp now as the two curved sword blades that she had on her back.

"You're asking for it girl! You are really asking for it!" Clarisse spat at her, and Silver snorted at her.

"I have been training since I could walk Clarisse. I've been here, since I was four years old. Go on, try again. I think that this is what... the fourth?"

Silver's voice was deliberately provoking, and Clarisse pulled out her sword, and Silver raised her eyebrows at the daughter of Ares.

"This again?" She asked, and Clarisse charges at her, and Silver yanked out one of her swords, and then, she was whacking Clarisse on the ankle.

Clarisse tripped into the dirt, and Silver swung her sword up, and the sword rested on her armor that was protecting her back.

"Care to try again?" She asked, and Clarisse spat out a clump of dirt, and she shook her head at her.

"Daughter without a father." Clarisse spat, and Silver's eyes flashed quickly and sheathed her sword, as Annabeth watched her.

"Go on you two. Continue your tour here of our home Percy Jackson. Try not to get yourself killed."

The older teenager walked away, her eyes were blazing as she did so, and a stunned Percy was looking after her.

"Who is that?"

He asked, and Annabeth snorted at his question, as well as the expression that always came along with it from all of the boys at camp.

"That's Silver Hunter. She has been with us here the longest, out of any campers that we have now."

Annabeth says, and Percy looked at her. "So why is she called... I heard the daughter of Ares, call her... the Child and something about no father?" He asked, and Annabeth's face changed almost immediately.

"Just don't talk about that around here. No one likes to be reminded of her nickname. Especially not her."

She mumbled.

"Why? What happened?" Percy asked, and Annabeth shook her head at him.

"I don't exactly know what really happened. I know that Luke, Silver, and a son of Athena named Jamerson went on a quest. Silver ended up with the burn scars on her face, Luke got a scar of his own, and Jamerson... Was a demigod who never came back."

Percy flinched at her words, and Annabeth shook her head. "I didn't know him all that well, but he had all of the wisdom of Athena, all the great traits that we all aspire to be. He had a silver tongue, and he also had swords, which he taught to Silver. But.. that he still didn't make it home it's a message and not a good one." Annabeth says.

A conch horn blew a couple of hours later, and the Demeter Cabin was led by Silver, who still had her swords on her back but had at least taken off her armor now.

Whispered words about her drifted around the dining pavilion, but she'd ignore it all, as she sat on the edge, of one of the benches around Demeter's table.

The wood nymphs was now taking the food to everyone at the tables as Percy was practically falling off of the Hermes' bench.

"To the Gods!" Chiron proclaimed, holding up his goblet, and Silver nods to him with the others.

"To the Gods!" The campers called back to him and they filled the goblets with whatever they wanted and Silver just looked at the goblet, as she did look at it, water filled it up.

They all got up, and Silver was at the head of the line of campers, and she'd toss in a bunch of grapes. "Demeter."

She murmured, and then she immediately walked back to the Demeter table, and began to eat, only just picking at her food in silence with her fork.

"So, what's up with her?" Conner asked, he who was just one of many other kids of Hermes, as he looked at Luke, who snorted, as Percy raised an eyebrow at the two half siblings.

"Even, if that was any of your business Conner, I still wouldn't tell you about it kid."

He says, as they all finished their meals, and then Chiron pounded his hoof on the ground once again.

The chattering stopped, and Mr. D looked at them all, as he stood up with a huge and exaggerated sigh.

"Yes, I suppose I'd better say hello to all you brats. Well, hello. Our activity director, Chiron, says the next capture the flag is Friday. Cabin five presently, holds the laurels."

A bunch of ugly cheers rose from the Ares table, and at that, Luke he looked over at Silver who was playin' with an arrowhead as she listened.

"Wait, so you guys are together or something?" Percy asked, poking the Head Counselor in the arm.

"Yeah. You could say I'm like an anchor for her. We've got a strong bond." Luke muttered to the new kid, as Mr. D exhaled sharply to get their attention back.

"Personally," Mr. D continued, "I couldn't care less, but for all of your sakes, congratulations. Also, I should tell you that we have a new camper of ours today. Peter Johnson."

Chiron was quietly murmuring in Dionysus' ear after that. "Er, Percy Jackson," Mr. D corrected himself at the urging of the old centaur. "That's right. Hurrah, and all that. Now run along to your silly campfire. Go on."

Everybody cheered.

The entirety of the camp quickly headed down to the amphitheater, where the campers had all began to mingle with each other.

Percy raised his eyebrows quickly, as he saw for the first time, since he had first met her that Silver was smiling at jokes.

As she now sat among the Hermes Cabin, and ruffled up the hair of some of the younger kids, just after they had tried to pick her pockets rather unsuccessfully.

She was also sitting next to Luke, which seemed to make her a whole new person, as he laughs at her, and cracked jokes.

In response to it all, she had put marshmallows in his hair, and soon there was marshmallows being tossed everywhere.

After the campfire had died down, and by then, most of the camp had gone to sleep, but Silver, she was still lying on the grass which now was just outside of Demeter's cabin and not for the first time, she fell asleep outside.
