One Shots

Eren Jaeger

At first, you and Eren never got along. You two were constantly fighting about what was the right way to go about doing an expedition, whether you should dive right in and kill all the titans or if you should devise a plan of attack.
One day in the dining hall, your argument started to get heated and you both were now yelling. You made a sly remark which caused Eren to grab you by the collar and standing you up. "What did you say?!" Eren growled. "All I said, was that if you keep throwing caution into the wind like that, you're going to become titan chow. Let me go, Jaeger!" You demanded. "Not until you take that back, (Your last name)!" You now hear Mikasa and Armin trying to break up the fight, but you both ignore them. "Why would I take back something that's true? Now put me down so I can eat!" "Take it back!" Eren's nose is now scrunched up. You raise your fist to pinch him.
Before you can follow through with the action, you feel someone pull back your hair and be thrown to the ground. Then you feel a blow to your stomach. You groan and hear a guy groan as well. "Shut the hell up, both of you. You give me a headache." You hear a familiar monotone voice say. "Until you two learn to play nice, you will be spending tomorrow cleaning the library and organizing all of the books. If I hear arguing, your punishment will be extended and intensified. Am I understood?" You hear the captain ask. "Yes... sir.." You manage out.  You see Levi pick Eren up by his hair. "Am I clear, Jaeger?" Levi is looking Eren in his eyes. "Yes, captain Levi." Eren says, grinding his teeth. "Good." The captain throws Levi to the ground. "You both are disgraceful maggots." With that, captain Levi leaves. You both then get up slowly and pretend like nothing happens. 
The next day comes around and you both are helping each other dust and organize the library. You decide that the best way to organize the books in alphabetical order. Spending hours on end cleaning and organizing, Eren must have decided that the room has gotten a bit stuffy because he goes to the window and opens it. While he was opening the window, you go to the pile of books he had been working on and check on his progress. Realizing that he had been organizing the books in a chronological order, you look at him with disbelief. Jaeger turns to you, walking back. "What? I opened the window."  He says casually. "Yeah, but you organized the books wrong, Eren. You're supposed to put the books in alphabetical order." "No, you're supposed to put them in chronological order." And like that, another argument started.
"Uhg, why do you have to be so stubborn, (Your name)?!" Eren huffed. "Why do you have to be such an asshole about everything?!" You yelled. Then someone clears there throat, coming towards the entrance. Both of you quickly look towards the front doors of the library. "Cadet (Your first and last name) and cadet Eren Jaeger, another argument I hear.. Both of you have another day of cleaning and suspension from going on expeditions, if it can be helped." Levi states. "Captain Levi! You can't do that!" Eren protests. "It seems I already have. Also, if you can make sure the books are in chronological and alphabetical order from left to right." The captain walks up to the book shelves and knocks off all of the books. "Do it all again. Dismissed." Levi demands while walking out. You stand there for a moment. You couldn't believe you had just been suspended from expeditions. "Come on.. We have to reorganize all of these books.." You say glumly. "(Your name), how can you be so calm about this?" Eren questions you. "I have to be. If either of us gets worked up again, we'll argue and just get punished again, getting us nowhere fast." You say with a heavy sigh. "Right.." He says coming over to assist you.
After a while, you two start talking about why you joined the survey corps in the first place. You discover that your motives are very much alike, but with a slight difference. It was his mother that perished from the attack of a titan, and your father. No one ever know your father died from the attack on wall Rose though. That conversation goes on for quite some time, making it seem like the work wasn't taking as long as it did before. It seemed like you both finally understood why the other does what they do and the reasoning behind it.
Out of no where, Eren breaks the current silence. "Hey, uhm.. (Your name?) " "Yeah, Eren?" "Uhm.. Would you wanna, maybe.. hang out after our punishment is over?" Eren asks. What you knew about Eren before, is that he sort of has a difficult time talking to girls. For him to ask you this, especially out of the blue, was out of character. "You mean like a date?" You counter. Even though Eren was now looking away, you could still see him blushing. "I-if that's what you want it to be..." Jaeger replies nervously. "Yeah, sure." You answer, secretly excited he asked you. "Really?" Eren looks at you kind of surprised. "I wouldn't have said yes if I didn't mean it." You say. "Okay.. Cool." You smile at each other and realize, Eren wasn't as bad as he seemed. Maybe he thinks the same about you. With the new butterfly feeling in your stomach, you both get back to work as you serve your punishment.
