The wind was strong, blowing my hair back away from my face. The sun was shining down and I could feel the warmth of it on my skin. I could feel the soft sand between my toes. I squinted, trying to see through the hot heat waves. A million people were on the beach today. It was a perfect summer's day. Could the day become even more perfect?

Then I saw him and my heart started beating faster. He was standing, facing the ocean. His blonde curly hair was blown in the wind. He had his hands loosely in his pockets and he looked relaxed. It was a change from his rigid shoulders and the fire that constantly burned in those green eyes.

He had changed, heck even I had changed. But my love for him hadn't changed. Who knew after all this time I would love him. Love him more than before, if that was possible.

I started running. People looked at me curiously. As I came up to him he turned towards me. I could see he still loved me too. I jumped into his arms and he caught me. Tears fell down my cheeks and he held me tightly. He smoothed my hair down and I entwined my hands around his neck.

He smiled and I saw the familiar chip in his almost perfect teeth. I could see the small freckles across his nose. He was still beautiful to me. Our lips locked and the feeling of love overwhelmed me.

He had come back, like he said he would. He still loved me and that's all I could ask for.
