10 seconds to breath as I lay down.
9 to think as I take the last few breathes: this is it.
8 to look back and reflect.
7 to be able to replay the events of my life.
6 to wonder what if...
5 to ask why. Why me? Why now? Why?
4 seconds left of my sanity. If there was any left before now.
3 seconds until I shut down
2 seconds as everything goes black. Finally.
1 second until everything goes still. Waiting until it's all over.
Then I wake up and relive it all over again. Until my final 10 seconds finally approaches.

Thank you for reading the first chapter of this collection. I'm sorry that I started it off with a dark theme, but I promise that there will be a variety of emotions, topics, and themes that I plan on writing about. Please leave your thoughts and don't be afraid to leave any suggestions for me. Thanks again for reading.
