So close but yet so far

It had been a casual day in minecraftia, the sun was shining, birds were singing, explosions everywhere, rage and trees on fire. I had my plain white t-shirt, pants,shoes, and headphones on. I was currently walking with my best freind we had been walking pass people doing parkour. We were on our way to the mineshaft to mine some ores and-

"Tyyyyyyyyyyy" Sky groaned," are we almost there yet?

"Almost there" I replied, he was very annoying at times but it's my problem now. After all it was dangerous to go mining alone not only that but, I had forgotten it was his birthday and no one else wanted to go with him

Flashback

I was sleeping when I woke up from noise coming from outside. I grabbed my usual clothing and rushed outside to see what the comotion was about.When I got outside every house was decorated with gold streamers and everything was colored gold basically. As I continued walking in the street of my small town a voice called out to me.

"Ty!" It was Mitch and not to far behind was Jerome the baca.

"Hey...whats up?" I asked" why is everything painted gold? It looks like somethimg ripped from the wizard of Oz."

"Its Sky's birthday today!" Jerome replied.

"You didn't forget.... did you?" Mitch asked.

"Crap! It's his birthday today!? I thought it was tomorrow! " I reply anxiously.

"Oooooh man, you better think of something quick cause here he comes!" Jerome said. Just as he finished that sentence Adam had come all dressed in gold with Simon, and Martin right by his side. He was smiling brightly and was carrying presents he had received from everyone but me.

"Ty!"Adam yelled when he had seen me," where is my present?"

"Um..well..."I was practically shaking, how am I supposed to tell my best friend/crush I had forgotten about his birthday? Then Mitch saves me.

"Don't you want to see your birthday cake and other presents?"

" Even more present for me!? Man you guys went all out this year!"

"Of course we did!" Simon said," We had to make up for forgetting last year."

"Hey! I want to go mining today!"Adam said as we were walking to the table where the cake was."I need more BUDDDDDEERRRR!" We all had stopped walking and looked at each other horrified. When Adam wanted gold, he just didn't want 3 -10 pieces of gold. Oh no, he wanted buckets upon buckets filled with gold, and whoever went with him always carried it. We all knew it and the only way to avoid it was to come up with lies and reasons why we can't go.

" Awww man so sorry" Jerome started" Me and Mitch are going to participate in a hunger games today! Right Mitch?"Jerome had put his hand around Mitch.

" Yeah!"

" Me and Bodil are doing some parkour today." Simon said.

"Of course and I get to troll as always?"Martin replied with a smirk.

"Yes....you can troll me..." Simon sighed. He hated getting trolled but he didn't want to mine and carry even more.

" Of course you pick your boyfriends to save." I thought to myself, then I realized I spoke out loud by the look of their faces.Mitch and Jerome had matching shades of red, Simon was hiding his face with his hat, and Bodily was nervously scratching his neck.

"Then that means that you have to go with me! You don't have other plans, and where is my presents?"

I realized that I had no where to escape and all I can do was go along with my bad luck and memory."Of course I will, that was my birthday gift to you! I am going to spend the whole entire day with you since we really don't hang out anymore."

"Wow...that's it? No cards or anything else?"

"It's the thought that counts."I responded trying to act fine.

Present Time

With that everybody went there separate ways and I was brought into my current situation, hope I live.
