" enjoy your first day of school ! " my mom said before driving off . enjoy school ? this place was a shit hole . i absolutely hated everyone here , except for a few decent people i guess .
i walked through the gate and went into the building . i headed towards my locker and stuffed some of my books inside . " wonyoung i missed you so much ! " my best friend , hyerin shouted while giving me a hug from the back .
" the feeling isn't mutual , " you said jokingly . she rolled her eyes and leaned back onto the lockers . " so have you heard ? jaemin and nayeon are dating " hyerin said all of a sudden while scrolling through her instagram feed . " yeah , i saw his post . i feel so bad for jaemin though . nayeon's such a brat and — " , but before i could even finish insulting her , hyerin decided to remind me of something that i hated . " are you just saying that because you still have feelings for jaemin ? " .
yes , i have the biggest crush on jaemin . i hated the fact that i did . why ? because he doesn't even know i exist , and i'm pretty sure he'll never . i can't even get him to notice me .

" well new year , means new class , " i mumbled to myself . i stepped in and saw everyone talking amongst themselves . no one even noticed that i walked in , i didnt expect them to though . after all , i am a nobody . i found two empty seats at the back and placed my bag down on the chair next to me . i took out my phone and started messaging hyerin .

i sighed and went to instagram . well , at least i'm at the back alone , there'll be no one to disturb me . and i dont have to worry about having to associate with others . just then , my teacher stepped in . i placed my phone down and stood up , everyone did so too . " hello class 407 , i'm mrs lee , and i'm your form teacher for this year ! " . we greeted her and sat down . " now i'll be taking your attendance , " mrs lee told us . after calling around nineteen names , she finally called out the last one . " na jaemin " .

" alright class , before we start anything , i'll be changing your seats . boy girl boy girl arrangement , " mrs lee said in a stern voice . she picked up the name list and started speaking again , " alright lets see " . she began shifting everyone , there was still currently no one sitting beside me , and i was really happy . " now lastly , i'll be moving mr na jaemin beside a good student . and far away from a girl who'd be distracted from him , " she said . she looked around and pointed at the seat right beside me . " jaemin , please move next to wonyoung , " she instructed . i was about to scream . far away from a girl who'd be distracted by him ? what the fuck ? does she even know me ?
he stood up and was about to move but the girl beside him grabbed his arm and gave him disgusting puppy eyes . all he did was scoff and forced her grip off his arm . i took my bag off the chair and stared at the ground feeling nervous . i could feel a presence beside me a few seconds later .
i lifted my head and looked beside me . i cant believe this ridiculously good looking guy that i had a crush on since last year , is going to be my deskmate for the rest of the year .
