The night air was still as crisp as it was when you had left about an hour ago. The sky peeking through the small clearings between the evergreens branches.

As you trudged down the dirt path that seemed to go on forever, you notice a bit of movement in the distance. Pausing in your tracks you manage to get a better look as it was lightened by the patches of seeping moonlight. It had been a man riding a tired looking horse. Nothing like the stallions you had back at the castle.

'Strange for someone to be out so late at night. Though I might be a bit of an odd one two.' You think, trying to lighten the moment.

As the man approached even closer, you were able to spot some satchels on the sides of the horse, as well as the person. 'Ooh, he music be a late night messenger.'

When he had came close enough you pulled your hood down in effort to hide your face while raising your hand up into the air to wave him down.

The man stopped his horse right next to you. He looked to be in his thirties with a clean face and dressed in a commoners clothes.
"Hello, little miss. Are you in trouble?" He asked in a raspy voice.

"No, no.. I'm not in any trouble. I'm just wondering how far the next kingdom is, and how I would be able to get there." You say while keeping a polite posture.

The man paused, giving himself a moment to think. "Hm, yes. The closest kingdom would of course be Tanbarun, but it is quite a distance. If you were continue on foot it might take a little more than four days."

You break your stare from him and look down at the ground, there was a look of disappointment on your face. You sigh before directing your attention back up at him. "Oh well, it can't be helped. Thank you for your time."

"It's no problem, missy. But I have to warn you that it's pretty risky wandering around all alone with expenses like that." He said motioning towards the silky clothes you had been wearing, as well as the few bits of jewelry complimenting your outfit.

"If I didn't have certain things and people to take care of, I might have taken my chances and snatched something from you."

His comment caught you off guard and you took a slight step back.
"Um, yes.. thank you. I'll look out for that. Bye now."
After giving your rushed goodbye to the man you resumed your journey to Tanbarun.

It was around 12 in the afternoon when you spotted a few roofs in the distance. 'A town? I don't recognize it as ours.' You thought to yourself. But at the same time your father hadn't taught you much about what civilizations belonged to Canadal, and which ones didn't.

Once you arrived at the small town you looked for the nearest person. A teen looking to be around your age caught your eye. She had been watering the vegetation that grew between the building.

"Excuse me." You say while walking up to the rosy-cheeked girl.

After explaining to the girl where you wanted to go, she happily showed you to the road that lead to the other end of the village.

"If you wait there for a bit, you might be able to catch a ride from someone transporting goods." She explained.

You thanked her, and couldn't help but notice her strong gaze. It was hard to notice at first with her friendly smile being so prominent, but her stare wasn't usual.

"Sorry, but is there something you need?" You asked with hesitance.

The girl tilted her head playfully. "Well me and my family are having a bit of rough luck with money right now... and I was expecting some repayment for the guidance?"

It was just like the man on the horse from earlier had warned her about. Of course people would be after your money if your dressed like this.

"Oh, right right.. sure. But can you do me one more thing? I promise it's in your favor."

Walking out of a nearby restroom you had on commoners clothes, and carried your silk dress in your hands and your jewelry was placed in your bag.

"Thank you so much. You can have this now." You say handing the girl your dress.

The girl gave a friendly smile and took the dress from you, flipping around the folds to look at it.

"I should be thanking you! Oh, but I must be getting back to work. I wish you luck on your journey!"

You gave a nod in her direction, as well as a slight wave before heading off in the direction you were instructed to go.

When arriving, it hadn't taken much longer than an hour before someone with a large brown house pulling a wagon of bagged goods showed up.
You gave the usual routine of waving them down and explaining where you needed to go. Thankfully the man had enough room in the wagon, and was willing to help out.

Lifting yourself up into the wagon, you placed yourself against one of the sides letting your legs hang out of the back.
'It won't be long until I made it to Tanbarun now.' You thought to yourself.

As you rode in the wagon you thought about what kinds of things would be in Tanbarun, and what kind of a place It was.
While you were lost in thought, the bouncing and rocking motion of the wagon was almost a comfort, and soon lulled you to sleep.
