I am Bree, not short for anything but just Bree, an average twenty year old student in Ohio state university and part time worker at a nightclub called "la Corazon".
I do not think of myself as an overly beautiful girl but I can say the creator did a good job on me.
I have an oval face which housed my ocean blue eyes, my turned up nose and heart shaped lips. I'm not quite tall as I'm 5'6 and I've got a spoon body shape and long straight brown hair that I love to always tie into a ponytail.
I came from an equally average family; my dad's a local journalist working with a newspaper organization in Texas and my mum's a housewife who partnered with a cafe and baked cakes for them.
I wasn't an only child as I had an older brother Brian and a younger sister with whom I never got along with, her name's Bailey and she's just one year younger and my brother took five years from me and I loved him so much and we were always close since childhood.
But now in adulthood, Brian had left us to Japan to work but he never returned and that was three years back. We only received a message from him and it he said that he had arrived China safely and that he'll keep us informed but we never heard from him again.
I had been studying economics at the university and my sister studied mathematics at the same university. My sister was very pretty, with her square face, blue eyes and thin pink lips; bottled shape with a light tanned skin; on her head, she had slightly blonde shoulder length hair and she was tall with skinny legs. In total, she was a gorgeous beauty and she could be likened to be a supermodel.
Despite our economic status, Bailey seemed to live a life worth envying as she was friends with Evelyn and Diana, the two most popular and beautiful girls in campus and all together they were the cool girls that got all boys in the school turning their heads for.
I, on the other hand was a completely different person. I always wore shabby old and worn out cloths and because I had long sightedness, I used glasses and this earned me the nerdy look and name in school.
I also had friends, Jenny, Kyle and Burke; although Kyle just seemed to pick me as his friend and well I'll just have to admit that it was absurd that the school's top swimmer and football captain is my friend considering me, typical me.
Our friendship started with deep enmity as I was mocked daily by Kyle and his friends but one day, I collided with him on my way from the library and my books fell out of my arms, I bent down to pick them while expecting a sorry but all I got was.
"Can't you see where you're going, four eyes?" He mocked me and since I wasn't in such a mood to listen to his usual fun stalking. I picked up my books and walked on but his hand on my arms made me to stop abruptly.
I looked at his strong hand that gripped my elbow before I looked to meet with his brown eyes and I immediately began to tremble; not of fear but of nervousness.
"Can't you take a joke?" His hoarse voice brought me back to the fact that he was still there, in front of me and holding my elbow.
"Yea-" I stammered out and he smirked.
"Kyle Peters" he introduced himself; but what's the need; he was POPULAR, everyone knew him in school but I smiled and decided to go with the formalities.
"Bree Sandreas"
He stared hard at me as if detailing my every being.
"Can I buy you a Burger?" Why? I questioned myself but smiled out.
"Great!" What? I had not said yes but somehow agreed to his offer. He released my elbow and began to walk towards the cafeteria while I hesitated.
He turned to me "come on" and that was my cue to walk with him. Just like that, I had become friends with the great Kyle.
Burke meanwhile was my childhood friend and we grew up together; always with each other. He's my best friend; he's cute, funny, and handsome but he's gay. Despite this, I love him nonetheless.
Jenny and I met in college and proceeded to become reading mates, then becoming friends. Jenny's a literature craze; she hopes to one day become a great poet and she always talks about this.
Anyways, my life has been pretty much the normal but I still aspired to one day get to the top, not that I did not love my life but a girl's got to dream, right?
Ohio State was nearing the end of the semester and that meant holiday for everyone but it meant work resumes fully for me.
I worked two jobs during the holiday to help out with the bills of the house and also to pay my fees when my father isn't able to. I work in the day at a cafe called "Buenos Coffee Cafe" and night at the club.
I never complained about either jobs or having to do both but if I could somehow not have to work then I'll do that, there's nothing wrong with enjoying life and wishing for a better life.
