I walk inside the mall with b/f/n and walk around. "Can we go to that ice cream place?" B/f/n says. I nod and we walk up to the counter. "Hello ladies what can I get for you?" A tall boy asks with a name tag saying "Steve". He has long brown hair that went up and a sailor hat that said "ahoy". He noticed I was staring at the hat and took it off right away. I stared into his dark brown eyes and he stared right back. I snapped out of it. "Um I'll have (ice cream flavor). And b/f/n what do you want?" I asked shortly after looking at her/him. I didn't pay attention to what she wanted and started to take out my money. "Uh. That will be um $10.47" the boy said. I handed him a 20 and he gave me back a five and a couple cents. "I'm Steve by the way" he said. "I'm y/n and this is b/f/n.." I said kinda shy and smiled

He gave us the ice cream and smiled "hey uh do you wanna maybe hang out.. sometime?" Steve asked. I looked at b/f/n and smiled, then looked back at Steve "sure Steve, when is your next break?" I said looking at him with a smirk. "In 10 minutes" he says while looking at the time. "Sounds good... we will wait for you in that booth over there" I say turning around pointing to a open booth. I take the receipt and we both leave and sit in the booth we promised to meet him at. "Are you crazy?! We barley know this guy!!" B/f/n says. "He's cute and really nice! Just calm down" I say taking a lick at my ice cream. She rolled her eyes and kept eating her ice cream.

A few minutes later I look up to see Steve walking up to the booth. I smile and lick my Ice cream once more. He sits down next to me and takes a sip of his drink. "Hey" he smirks. "Hey" I smile. We stand there looking at each other before laughing hysterically. B/f/n walks up to throw away her ice cream. "Look, if I tell you something promise not to tell anyone not even b/f/n" Steve says. You nod while looking confused. He looks at your hand before grabbing it. You look back to see a confused face on b/f/n. You shrug as Steve puts you in the back room of the ice cream place. You look around to see a tall ish girl wearing the same outfit as Steve, a kid with curly hair and no teeth and a little girl with black hair and a colorful outfit on. You look around confused then look back at Steve. "Listen... we think that there areee.. how do I say this?" Steve says looking at the curly hair boy. He looks at me "hi I'm Dustin, look there's Bad Russians trying to do bad shit to Hawkins" the boy now named Dustin says. He rolls his eyes. "They are trying to talk to us and we have codes, look" Dustin says giving me a notebook with stuff written on it. "Silver cat? What the fuck is all this and why would they say it what does it mean?" I say still starring at the paper. "We don't know" Steve says looking at me with his arms crossed.
