Sohee made herself comfortable in the library, the lack of noise bringing her a sense of tranquility. She loved to read, especially in the school library, it was one of her favourite places where she could relax and unwind. She opened her backpack, taking out a brightly red colored book and opened it on a page marked with a bear themed bookmark.

Her eyes briskly scanned the words written on each page, her mind gobbling up the context within them. She was a fast reader as she read books very frequently.

She was so engrossed in reading that she failed to notice someone's hand on her shoulder, tapping it gently. The male standing behind her decided to blow a puff of air into her ear, startling the girl as she dropped the book onto the ground with a loud thud, gaining a lot of attention in the form of resentful stares from students in the library. She bowed her head in apology and turned around, her eyes landing on a familiar male with his hands outstretched towards her.

''Sorry, didn't mean to scare you,'' he whispered, pointing to the red book laying on the ground.

Sohee quickly picked it up, shoving it into her backpack she grabbed Hoseoks hand and led him out of the library.

''You scared the daylights out of me, don't sneak up on me when I'm reading,'' she said as she closed the library door as quietly as she could.

Hoseok let out an awkward laugh, ''You were so into that book you didn't even notice me calling your name a couple of times.''

Sohee fumbled with the ribbons in her hair, tightening her twin tails. ''Sorry, whenever I read I literally turn off, my mom always tells me I probably wouldn't even notice an earthquake when I'm reading.''

''I can see why she'd say that,'' he chuckled. ''Do you want to eat lunch with me on the roof after next period?'' he asked.

Sohee blinked repeatedly at him, ''You know how to get to the roof?''

His mouth curled upwards as he buried his hand into the pocket of his denim jacket, taking out a single golden key, ''I have my ways of obtaining certain things.''

Sohee raised an eyebrow at the mysterious remark but didn't question it.

''Sure, let's eat together after our next class. How about we meet up on the second floor by the boys' bathroom?''

Hoseok nodded, ''Sounds good.''

Sohee excused herself as she didn't want to be late for math class, meanwhile Hoseok took his sweet time getting to the science classroom located on the first floor.

Sohee walked up the seemingly endless flight of stairs until she reached the second floor, turning left she approached the boys' bathroom. She leaned her back against the wall, extending her hand and staring at the silver ring decorating her ring finger. She treasured it from the moment she received it as a present from her deceased father.

He unfortunately died in a car accident when she was just eight years old, she barely remembered her father. She's always been told stories about him by her mother, he was an outgoing and energetic man with a great sense of humor. He'd take his daughter out on trips to the beach, they'd walk along the shore barefoot, their feet sinking into the wet sand, holding ice cream cones in their hands.
