The game. They say either a person has what it takes to play, or they don't. My mother was one of the greats. Me, on the other hand...I'm kinda screwed.

Today was the day. After we ran away from new York. Derek and I found jobs. I was officially a doctor at Seattle grace. The last time I stepped foot in a hospital I was with him. Now I'm no one , A Blank Slate. I can be anything I want to be. Nothing more nothing less.
Everything I've aspired to be is going to be possible because of this job. Without him...Last night Derek was supposed to pick me up but he went MIA so I just decided to get a taxi and head to a hotel.
Today is a new day. I'm happy. Or I will be. What's that staying "fake it till you make it". Dereks good at that.

I let out a sigh and found my way to where I was supposed to be; a small office with a receptionist by the door. "Hi I'm Phoenix, I'm the new head of Pediatrics" the women looked up "of course, yes we've been expecting you, Derek talked a lot about you when he got here" the lady smile in one of the warmest smiles she'd seen in a long time "we were excepting you last month?" "Yeah I went to go do something before I fully moved here" the lady got up and opened the door for her.
"He'll be in any second" Phoenix smiled at her "thank you" about ten minutes later Derek walked by the office. "What are you doing phi, I was expecting you last month, then you text me that you won't be coming until later" he paused something he did often "I got worried"
