Judah Prince
Shiloh Prince
Judah rolled over in his bed and pulled on the covers.
"No! I'm not getting up."
His sister, Shiloh, would not stop trying to get him up. She kept saying something about recording a song for some who-knew-what.
"Listen here, Sir. It's not my fault you stayed out all night."
Just her voice was giving him a headache, not to mention the way she was shaking the bed! Yeah, so what if he'd stayed out all night? Last he checked it wasn't a crime.
But instead of saying any of that, Judah chose to ignore her.
Shiloh inched in closer, "Judah, please?"
He groaned. Why did she have to ask him like that? How could he say no without being a total...jerk? She rarely asked him for anything.
"I'll be down in 15," he grumbled.
Shiloh bounced off the bed with a happy clap, squealing.
Judah groaned and put his hands over his ears. "Are you trying to burst my eardrums?"
She just giggled and quite literally skipped out of the room.
Judah sighed and slowly crawled out of bed to get dressed. A cold shower might do him some good. He glanced at a family photo on his dresser. He stopped and picked it up and looked long and hard at the little boy who used to be him in the picture. He wondered what it would have been like to grow up with that carefree smile. Judah sighed again as he set down the photo. It'd been six years since that fatal accident that took both their parents. He'd only been 12 at the time. Shiloh had chosen to be his legal guardian, and had looked after him ever since. Sure, he tested her patience sometimes, but he wouldn't be a boy if he didn't, right?
Just as he left his room, Judah could already smell Shiloh's signature breakfast casserole coming out of the oven. He hurried down the stairs, inwardly scolding himself for being addicted to her food. But this was definitely why he liked to keep her happy.
He quickly sat down at the kitchen countertop. He'd ignore a hangover for this.
Shiloh smiled. She knew he was addicted to her cooking. So she bode her time setting out the food, while watching him out of the corner of her eye struggling to keep his composure as the delicious smells tortured him. She kept it up for a minute before finally letting him dig in. When he tasted her food, Shiloh smiled as he melted away into his happy place.
"You're welcome," she said smugly.
"Ugh....this is soo good!" He gushed "I'd literally do anything for you right now."
Shiloh smiled slowly as she took a bite of her food. She had him just where she wanted him...
