We Met By The Pond Of Songs

Chapter 2 - The Festival

Mune woke up, he was against the tree laying down. "Wha- What am I doing here?" Mune Thought while he cracked his back. Suddenly he remembered the girl that emerged from the water. Except...he doesn't remember if he fell asleep here. Mune stood up and brushed himself off. He remembers that today was the festival! But...he didn't exactly know where it was.
Mune decided to walk around, just to clear his mind. When he was walking, he started hearing footsteps...except...it sounded like wet footsteps, he turned around to see the girl, she was soaking wet. She met eye contact with him, after a few seconds of silence, magic appeared and surrounded her, making her completely dry. She looked down and passed him. "Wait!" Mune Called. The girl ignored him and continue to walk, this time a little faster. "I remember you!" He called. The girl stopped "I don't know what you're talking about..." she said, obviously lying. "But...I remember you..from yesterday..." suddenly it hit him "...and you sang to me.." Mune added. The girl's ears went up, she turned around, facing him. "...your singing...I-I remember..it was very beautiful...I think that I fell asleep.," he said. The girl looked away..."I know who you are.." she said. "Really?" He titled his head a little. "Yes, you are the guardian of the moon...and...I wanted you to come to my festival...so I could meet you...and when I saw you were sad...I wanted to help.." she said, looking him straight in the eye. "Your...Whenthla? The guardian of the oceans and marine creatures...am I correct ?" He asked. She nodded. "I am.," she replied. Mune looked at her. "Prove it." He said. Whenthla raised her hands, she closed her eyes. He watched...and suddenly he saw two big chunks of water floating her way. They floated around her hands, she looked at him. "Have I proven myself?" She asked him. "Amazing..." Mune said, looking at the water. Whenthla blushed slightly, "T-Thanks.." She said. "Now..where is this festival of yours?" Mune asked with a smile on his face. Whenthla smiled, "follow me, I will gladly show you," She said.

Later, they arrived at the festival, Mune entered the crowd and lost sight of Whenthla, he guessed that she would be with her mother. after a couple of minutes, more people gathered. Mune waited, "Mune!" Called a familiar voice. It was Sohone. "Hello, Sohone" Mune replied. "I..." Sohone sighed, "I heard what happened...with you and Glim.." Sohone said, rubbing the back of his neck in nervousness. "Yeah..." Mune said, trying not to get emotional. "Hey," Sohone placed his hand on Munes shoulder. "It'll be okay." Sohone smiled. Mune smiled back. Suddenly they heard people cheering, Mune looked up and saw a beautiful temple, there was a large glowing jellyfish that held the whole temple, there were chairs made of seashells, and there were two waterfalls in front and one in the back. Everyone gasped, it was beautiful. Munes Eyes shimmered, he had never seen anything like it.

Whenthla's P.O.V:

Whenthla stood behind the curtains, were the chairs where her mother was fixing her dress. Whenthla was wearing a fluffy white dress, and a crown made by glowing seashells. "There," her mother said. "You look good" she added. Whenthla was Silent. "Now...I want you to impress everyone once we step out" her mother said. "Ready?" She asked. "Mhm" Whenthla Replied, they both opened the curtain, which everyone saw Whenthla and her mother, they all cheered. She saw Mune, she immediately smiled, even though she only met Mune for the first time, she thought that she would finally have made a friend.

Mune's P.O.V:

Mune blushed as he looked at her. "She is so beautiful in white..." he thought. "W-Wait. What am I saying?... I just met her..I can't...love her! I love Glim, and I will continue to love her until she returns!" Mune said.

"Hello dear citizens, my name is Shana, and I am the guardian of the seas" Shana bowed. Everyone clapped. "And I am Whenthla, I am the guardian of the oceans and marine animals." Whenthla bowed, and everyone clapped once again. Whenthlas mother begun speaking, and while her mother was not noticing, Whenthla sneaked out, she jumped off the temple and used her dress as a mini parachute. She ran to the forest, where the pond of songs was.

It was a while since Whenthla left, and her mother was showing the powers that she had, and how it would help everyone when she finished, she called Whenthla to show everyone her powers, but she didn't respond. "Whenthla?" Her mother repeated. She wasn't there. People started to freak out, they were trying to look for her. Mune was as well, but he had a perfect idea of where she was. 

Mune managed to exit the large crowds of people, and without anyone noticing, he ran to the forest where the pond of songs was. As he came closer, she heard singing.
"I wish that my time here will matter...for very long, I've been so alone in this cold ocean water, no friends or anyone to see...my mother is always busy...and the dolphins would not like to play..because I was different from everybody else.." it was Whenthla...she was singing, and her voice was more angelic than usual. Mune blushed and hid behind a tree, he closed his eyes and smiled, her voice was so relaxing as if it were medicine for every ache in his body.
"I wish to find someone who will love me, and treat me like the girl I am...and respect who I..truly am...and be with me...all the way..." her hair, ankles, and eyelashes began to glow, Mune watched. "I'd rather disappear than be alone, please...find someone for me..." she stopped glowing, and suddenly, the water turned white.

Whenthlas P.O.V:

I could feel goosebumps all over my body when the water would turn white, it meant that your wish came true! But...my song was about love...and finding someone who can love me but...who would it be...?

Whenthla turned and saw him. Mune. She blushed, he blushed as well, but more than she did. He sat next to her and smiled, Whenthla blushed, even more, her heart racing from the inside, she breathed slightly heavy.
"You know..." Mune paused to look her straight in the eye, blushing more and more. "You look beautiful in white.." he smiled
