Chapter 13

Author's POV:

Far back, a girl was burning holes into the back of someone she called her bestfriend. He agreed to accompany her to the downtown and yet once they reached here, he abandoned her for the other pretty girl.

Jae Hwa sighed as she started to feel the cold hitting her milky white skin. She sneezed cutely and pouted. She was feeling cold and Jungsu didn't even rush over to attend to her. Don't get her wrong, she's not an attention seeker but it's just that Jungsu always took care of her.

She rubbed her own arms to warm herself up. Then, she sped her footsteps to stand beside the pair in front of her. She placed herself beside Eunjung and matched her footsteps to theirs'. She turned her head to take a glimpse at them.

"You know, you two look like a couple from behind,"she teased.

"Seriously? You look like a reindeer,"Jungsu counterattacked and Eunjung laughed at the two bestfriends.

"I'm cold, alright! Can we get a warm coffee. I'm in need of one,"Jae Hwa batted her eyelashes at both people beside her.

Jungsu rolled his eyes but then smiled sweetly when Jae Hwa wasn't looking. Then, he finally agreed to the idea since he was also starting to feel cold. They turned to Eunjung who just nodded since she was just following them around anyway.

"If you want to know, my Jae here is a coffeeholic so if you see her lying on bed the whole day on a weekend, buy her coffee. That'll help to boost up her endless energy,"Jungsu informed Eunjung.

"Oh, I see. What type of coffee do you like then?"Eunjung directed the question to her roommate.

"Well, I love caramel coffee. Green tea latte is also another one of my favourite,"Jae Hwa replied with a slight smile on her lips.

The three friends then headed towards the nearest cafe they could find and entered it. Once inside, they found themselves thankful for the warmness the inside of the cafe produced. They queued up. Finally, it was Jae Hwa's turn.

She ordered her ever so favourite caramel coffee without hesitation while smiling at the cute guy in charge for the row. The cute guy gulped down the lump in his throat. He had been working the whole day and it was really refreshing to look at a beautiful and young lady.

The staffs behind went into action to create the delicious coffee that Jae Hwa adored so much. When it was finally ready to be given to the customer, Jae Hwa paid for her drink and grabbed it. She turned around and saw that both Jungsu and Eunjung had already received their drinks.

The three then exitted the small and cozy cafe. They were finally ready to start their shopping spree after strolling around for about 15 minutes. Of course Jae Hwa was the one who insisted on them to follow her so that she could get new clothes.

It was winter after all and she had less coats. Jae Hwa took a sip of her coffee and warmness instantly spread from her head to the tip of her toes. She felt relieved because her cold was not bothering her that much like before.

"Let's enter the apple shop first. I need to get a new charger for my macbook. It doesn't seem to work anymore,"she said while scrunching her eyebrows together.

Jungsu chuckled. He had always found all those small actions that his bestfriend does adorable. Maybe he was blinded by her adorableness but was that just it? Maybe. No one knows what his true feelings for her are. Even he, himself is confused with his ownself.

After Jae Hwa finally bought her new charger, she leaped in joy, not caring about the looks strangers were shooting at her. She is a carefree girl after all. That's one of the reasons why many girls out there are envious of her. For one, her confidence bothered them. Little did they know that it was a self-developed one.
