Chapter 3 - Dead

"Hiedi breathe, wake up, wake the fuck up!" Scar screamed at me, as I struggled to open my eyes. I found myself alive unfortunately in his arms. He breathed a sigh of relief and shoved me in the passenger seat of a car, before he could do so, I shoved my right fist into his face, I needed to get away from this monster, He restrained my arms, I was too weak to fight him and do damage. Asshole he was

only keeping me alive because Xavier would kill him If I died in his care, speaking of the devil where was Xavier?. Before I knew it he took off before I had time to take in my surroundings. What the fuck had just happened. I Sat upright slowly, my body still ached and I noticed that where the debris had hit into my leg, a rough bandage from an extract of Scar's tshirt had been wrapped around it. "Where the fuck are we going now?!" He smiled, wow he had emotion. "I have been waiting for this for a very long time," he laughed gently. "You fucking asshole, you have no worth here, you're a criminal and deserve to be killed." I snarled. "Hiedi, I have a feeling you will be regretting that sentence in about five minutes time." He spoke quietly, "Oh god humor me, like you could do anymore damage," I exclaimed. "Just let me explain everything." He spoke gently. "Okay go," I could see him clenching the steering wheel as though what he was about to say, pained him. "I'm not who you think I am. I don't work for Xavier, Heidi, I am a undercover agent who has been in this shithole of a mess for the past 5 years. When Xavier took you from your car 20 hours and 6 minutes ago, I stood by, praying that the car accident didn't kill you and hoping that I would have the chance to save you." I stared at him, my mouth wide open as we sailed along the straight country road. "Once we got to the barn, and you decided to create the biggest uncontrolled, dangerous and irrationally thought farm fire of the century, I knew I had to stay a step ahead of you and try and capture you before you ran off into the night, and died out in the bush from God knows what." I whispered, "this is so confusing, you hurt me Scar, explain the drugs you knocked me out with and the fucking explosion what was that about?!" "Shh, Heidi I'm not done yet. Xavier keeps close, close tabs on every single one of his agents, and when I captured you that night at the farm after the fire, I was wired he could still hear every single thing I said to you - I needed to make it convincing, like I was really trying to stop you and bring him back to him but not hurt you too much to upset him." I looked at him, trying to soak this all up, "Why didn't Xavier just come and get me himself that night, I wouldn't have been able to run far." I exclaimed, "You will soon learn that I was one of Xavier's best agents - I kept tabs on every single threat that he came to face and made sure I destroyed them. A license to kill and protect him and his empire at all costs, so when the fire started he needed to get out of there as soon as possible and he sent me to go and find you." It was starting to make sense now. "How am I supposed to believe you?" I said bluntly, "Well you are alive now aren't you?" I guess that was true, my mind was going to panic mode but I kept it concealed. "So when I relocated you to the next farm after I drugged you, It was the first time in five years that I have had you alone to myself and Xavier was coming, he was on his way down the highway I needed to act quickly." I was just waiting for him to continue for all of this to make sense. "Hiedi, Xavier builds his empire from exposing top secret agents to the world and the black market, he also gains wealth from drugs, a lot of drugs, he controls most private assassins all over the world, and quite frankly he is a genius, a mastermind actually he creates and generates technology that controls majority of databases and is a top hacker, he could do more damage with a computer in 10 minutes then I could do on the field in a year." I laughed, "woah yeah he was a bit of a computer nerd in high school..." He continued, "So im sure you have figured that he has made a few enemies along the way, well there Is a certain group called CI, Criminal Independence, a group of people who have had their lives ruined because of Xavier and their life mission has now become to destroy him." I looked at him, "What has this got to do with the explosion at the second farm and the fucking sore hole in my leg?" He smiled, shit I just realized how attractive he is. Focus Heidi focus, you can't trust him yet. "Sorry about that, but when I meant that I had to act quickly to figure out how to get out of there before Xavier came, I really had to act quickly. I found a bunch of explosives nearby, Xavier knew of our location because I was wired and had a tracker placed in my right arm aswell." I looked at his right arm, it was bandaged,
shit i didn't want to think about how he got that tracker out. "So I placed you strategically in the barn so that when the explosion went off it was only be small, enough to not kill you. You passed out however, and after the painful experience of extracting my tracker and smashing it and my wire, I took you outside, smeared both of our blood on the door of the barn and the dirt and then left one small message for Xavier, a symbol, the symbol CI use just after they have killed. A red diamond, " It all made sense now. "Holy shit, so you staged our deaths? Xavier thinks that the CI killed us both?!" Xavier looked at me, "we have to lay extremely low but for now Heidi, we are dead."
