I went to check my Mom in the kitchen and was about to eavesdrop the whole conversation but the call immediately ended. I didn't have the chance to listen all so I decided to ask her instead.

"Mom??" I cooed as I entered the kitchen, I saw her tensed up on her seat while obviously trying to brush her hair.

"Son? When did you get here? I thought you were resting in your room" She said clearing her throat as her voice cracked a bit. "I just got here, I was thirsty so decided to went here"

"You didn't hear my conversation with someone right?" I stared at her for a moment, you can tell she was begging for me to answer a no.

"No, who are you talking to by the way??" I lied, change of plans I wanted to know their conversation all about just by myself.

"Your.. Dad" there was a slight pause at her response but I snorted out before I grab some water.

"By the way, Mom I'm heading out later.." "Why, where are you going??" she asked.

"I'm going to visit the love of my life"
