This photo is what I imagine Jayden and Caden live in. It's a rather simple life, which is something I've always wanted for myself.
You know that moment when you know you're a hundred per cent happy? When you feel like you've entered heaven and you know nothing could ever make it any better? Well, that's how I feel right now as I lie in bed with a strong arm draped across my body whilst feeling mini kisses slowly attacking my neck. The great man beside me is the love of my life. A man I met three years ago when I spilt coffee all over his work shirt. I felt so guilty at the time, but Jayden assured me that I could make up for it by buying him dinner. And since then, Jayden and I have never been apart. We're like a married couple. Although at the same time, we're like children falling in love for the first time. It's weird, but it's how it works.
"Glad to see you're awake," Jayden says as he notices a large smile taking over my face.
I knew I couldn't keep it in. I had fought so hard to keep my resting face, but unfortunately, even Jayden's small touch is enough to kill my self-control. He truly is the master of seduction.
I begin to hide my face within the covers, burying my grin from the seductive Jayden Mitchell. However, it seems the love of my life is smarter than I thought because in an instant, his strong arms grab my body.
"Oh no you don't," he says, pulling me into him without any kind of escape.
My body rests against his bare torso. He's warm and feels like home, just like always. I love this man with every fibre of my being. He's my everything.
"Don't you have to go to work?" I ask him.
Jayden has been making it a habit to abandon the idea of heading to work and spending the day with me. And I'm not saying that I'm completely against the idea of him lying in bed with me all day, but we all have responsibilities we have to take care of. All of us. That includes Jayden and me.
"It can wait."
"Jayden, you can't miss another day of work. I love you, but you can't. Your phone has been blowing up and work is extremely important, remember?"
Jayden's sigh is probably the loudest and most dramatic sigh I think I've ever heard. I mean, he's supposed to be a grown man, not a child.
"But you're also extremely important, remember?"
I roll my eyes at his comment.
"Come on, Jay. Get up. You need to go to work."
"If I do, what will I get in return?"
Of course, he says that. That's typical Jayden for you. I practically had to bribe him just so he would attend a wedding with me. Apparently suits and dress pants aren't really his thing. But I guess I get where he's coming from. I hate wearing dresses, especially fancy ones.
"You'll get a surprise for when you come home."
I don't really know what surprise I even have in mind, but I'm sure I'll figure out something. Maybe I'll buy some new lingerie for him. I mean, that always excites him. Especially if it's red. He says the colour red always looks amazing on me.
"What kind of surprise?"
Clearly curiosity has piqued his interest.
"Guess you'll find out later."
I don't know how those few little words work the way they do, but before I know it, Jayden is out of bed and on his feet. My eyes sit on his naked body just like the ray of light does as it peeks through our cream curtains. His body is incredible. Inhuman, almost. Perhaps even godly. And his hair. Oh, don't even get me started on his long dirty blonde hair with those gorgeous pair of dark blue eyes. He is so attractive.
