The Guardians Episode one Returning home

It all started in 1946 after world war 2 the first superhero appeared.His name was Armstrong he had super strength and was bullet proof. He inspired so many others with abilities to stand up and become heroes. But where good exists so does evil. Villains started popping up just as much for forty years heroes fought villains and crime syndicates and everything that could be thrown at them. Then one day they were gone some big government wig pushed forward saying that villains exist because heroes exist. Get rid of one the other will follow. So a bill was passed all heroes were to give up their masks and retire or be hunted down and arrested.  Some listened some didn't a lot of heroes tried to fight this some tried with reason others with violence neither worked. Soon after all heroes were either retired,imprisoned ,or worse. The last known hero was a young man named Glacier. Worst part of this was the government was wrong with the heroes gone the villains became more bold because no one was there to stop them. So the world fell into darkness waiting for a new light to save them. Its 2019 and nothing has changed things have only gotten worse. My name is Ryan Snow I'm from Las Vegas and I'm going home today. The airport is as crowded as ever and took me forever to get outside. There was a car waiting for me with three people standing around it they were my best friends in the whole world. Mark Wayne , Arron Miles, and Jordan James I have been friends with them for over ten years. They smile and come towards me when they see me. What's up man . Arron says he gives me a high five and a big hug. Jordan does the same. You done hiding across the world finally.  He says while laughing. Yeah I'm super glad to be home. Mark walks up to me and glares at me through his glasses. What did you bring me ? He asks. I drop my bags and pull out a blue T shirt that says "I went to Animeland" on it. This my brother is what I bring you after four years in Japan. He takes the shirt and puts it on. Good enough. He says while laughing we high five and hug. You two ladies done hugging I'm starving. Jordan says. Yeah let's get some food guys. We all get in the car and start looking for somewhere to eat. Mark is the one driving I'm in the passenger seat next to him Jordan is behind me and Arron behind mark. We are talking a d messing around like I wasn't even gone for four years. Jordan keeps poking at me while Arron asks. Did you find what you were looking for out there can you control it better now? Ok first Jordan why do you want me to hurt you I've only been back for five minutes. I smack his hand away from my head. Easy because you missed out on four years of me messing with you . He said while laughing. I pause for a minute. Eh good point and second  yes Arron I gained more control over my powers. Yeah probably forgot to mention I have powers too. (We discovered them when I was in middle school my mom was driving me and Mark to get something to eat. It was real foggy and raining we could barely see the next thing I knew we got hit by another car the car got flipped a d the windows shattered. All I could feel was the rain I saw Mark's arm was broken and my mom wasn't moving I had to help them I wanted to help. I felt a surge of strength run through my body then I blacked out. When I came to, I was in the hospital with a few scratches Mark told me I kicked the door off broke his seatbelt pulled him out then ripped my mom's door off and did the same then I collapsed. I had no idea what he was talking about but he told the others and we started testing to see if I had powers. Everything we tried failed nothing we did even came close to that night. But one day while mark and I were walking home in high school and it started to rain Mark got an idea and told me to take off my hood and punch the wall. To amuse him I took off my hood and felt nothing I hit the wall and hurt my hand but then mark stopped and thought for a minute then pushed me and it happened. My heart started pumping and I felt like I could run a hundred miles. Mark told me to hit the wall I punched so hard and fast my hand went through it breaking the brick wall. We celebrated for a literal minute because then I passed out. As it turns out that when my body touches and I'm in an extreme  situation I get an adrenaline boost times 20 I get enhanced strength,speed,and perception but only for a short time. I use to pass out after but now I don't. I practiced and trained till I was good enough to not pass out and even control when I want it to turn on which has been way more useful than you know. When I turned 18 I decided I needed to be taught how to better myself and my abilities so I went to Japan and was taught at a monastery after I wandered around for a week broke and not knowing a word of Japanese I was taught to fight without the use of my powers. The masters there helped me train my body and mind plus beat the crap out of me but with it I got better and so did my powers .) I can now have my powers active for seven minutes. Only seven that's only five more than what you could do. Jordan complained. To be fair most issues only last about that long. Arron chimed in. True. Jordan agreed then sat back. Hey there is a dinner here let's just eat here. Mark said. We stop at the dinner and get a booth. So what else did you learn while you were there? Mark asked well I learned to fight better my escrima skills got way better I also found out I can't use my powers to many times back to back or my body will give out. Wow yeah that's some pretty good information. Mark said. That being said, what made you wanna come home ? Arron asked. I looked around then pulled a small black box out of my pocket. I came back because I want to become a hero and this is gonna help do that. It's an AI a really advanced one if I read it right. That's cool who gave it to you? Mark asked. (It was maybe a week ago I was outside the monastery even though I wasn't supposed to be. But I was walking down an alleyway when I saw someone jump across the rooftop above me then I saw three more. I climbed up on the roof and followed them jumping across the rooftops. The one in front was dressed in black and silver with a back hood on and twin blades running down the side of his arm. The three men chasing him were all in black suits and ties they were yakuza they were everywhere in Japan. The man in front jumped for the next building  one of the yakuza guys pulled out a gun and shot him in the back. His body hit the roof but he couldn't hold on and fell to the ground. The yakuza jumped to the other roof and climbed down to get him. I followed behind quietly when they got him I hid on the fire escape to see what was going on. The picked up the man in the hood and dragged him to the guy with the gun. The man in the hood had a silver face mask covering his mouth and chin. One of the guys pulled it off and threw it. It started raining. Ah perfect weather for the death of a wanna be hero. The man with the gun said gun said. He raised his gun to the hero's head. You wanna make this easy and give it to me before we do this. He said. Sure. The hero says then spits blood on the guys shoes. Was that what you were looking for. The hero said while laughing. He smacks the hero in the face with the gun. We'll grab it off when we're done here. He says as he points the gun back at his head. I feel my powers kick in giving me the strength to save him but I didn't know if I could. But before I knew it my body moved on its own. I flipped off the fire escape and fell toward the one with the gun. HEY! They looked up at me and the one with the gun tried to point it up at me but it was to late I was on top of him. I wrapped my legs around his head and let my body drop throwing him into the wall. I get on my feet and look to see the guy on the left of the hero let him go to pull his gun out but it was too late I closed the distance before he could. I grabbed the back of his head and jumped kneeing him in the face, knocking him out. I kick off him and watch him go rolling away. I look at the last guy and before I can do anything the hero punches him in the stomach and then grabs him by the back of his head and flips him on his back. Then starts punching him till he is knocked out then collapses next to him. I go over to him and help him sit up against the wall. Who are you? He asked me. I'm just a kid with powers from Vegas. He laughs. Well you should go back and become the hero from Vegas. I don't know if I can. Kid after what i just saw i know you can. You could have stayed up on that fire escape but you didn't you jumped down and saved me so I believe in you. He told me. This will help you. He said as he pulled out a small black box and handed it to me. Take it with you and don't let anyone have it use it to help yourself become a hero. Who are you ? What is your name ? Night stalker call me Night stalker kid. He said as he died. I went back to the masters and told them everything that happened they searched around but couldn't find Night stalker or the yakuza we took down. I opened the black box and a small slip of paper fell out on it read "AI for the future."It listed everything it was made of some of it I didn't even know existed. The masters understand I needed to go back to Vegas and helped me get a flight back here.) Wow I'm sorry that happened man that's a lot to process . Arron said. Yeah well it is what it is. I'm gonna honor Night Stalkers memory by becoming a hero. And this little thing is gonna help you do it. Jordan said. Ok I'm in you're gonna need someone to watch your back. He said. Same we stick together plus someone has to make sure you guys don't do anything to stupid. Arron said. You guys know I'm in. Mark says. Alright we're in this together wouldn't have it any other way. So how are we gonna pay for all the stuff we need cause it wont be cheap. Arron said. I'm working on that hopefully this AI can help. Hey Ryan did you tell your mom that you were back yet? Mark asked. We sat I. Silence for a second . I need to make a call . I get up and go to the door I can hear my friends laughing as I walk out the door. I call my mom but she doesn't answer so I just leave her a message. Right before I try to go back in I hear a woman scream out I ran around the corner to where I heard the scream.  When I got there three guys were gathered around a woman and one was trying to wrestle her purse from her. Well I wanna be a hero I need to start somewhere. I grabbed a trash can lid. Excuse me that doesn't belong to you but you can have this though. I threw the lid at the guy trying to take the purse and it hit him in the head. The guy let go of the purse and was now holding his head while the other two just turned and looked at me. You're so dead. One of them said. Feeling pretty alive over here. The guy grunted then charged at me which was not a smart move for him. He went for a big wound up punch I spun into it dodging the punch then punched him in the stomach. I spun back out elbowing him in the back I took out the back of his leg dropping him to his knees then kneeing him in the face. That's one down how we doing this one v one can we make a line. The last two charged at me. Nope two v one it is. I jump back a bit to get distance so I can watch them a bit. They move together then break apart getting on either side of me perfectly almost like they have practiced. The one on my right goes for a low kick and the one on my left goes for a punch to my face. I back flip dodging both. The guy on my left gets in front of me and tries to go for another punch I block and counter elbowing him in the face. The other guy runs up to try and land an axe kick I move his friend so he takes the hit instead knocking him out cold then I uppercut the last guy taking him down to. They were a little more skilled than I thought they would be but their out for a while. Are you ok miss? She stood there shocked but snapped out of it when I started talking to her. Oh yes thank you very much I have something for you. She said as she started going through her purse. No it ok you don't have to pay me I was just helping. Before I could realize what she had it was to late. She stuck me with a syringe. Really sorry about this. She said. I dropped to the ground and started to pass out the last thing I heard was her call someone. Sir we got one. She said. When I woke up I was strapped down in a bed with an IV in my arm and she was sitting in front of me. Hi again sorry for knocking you out. She said. Well you did one thing right and two things wrong. She sat there confused with a pouty face. Yeah what were they ? She asked. first you strapped me down that was the safe choice. Second you are the first person I saw when I woke up not really a good start. She pouted some more. What's the last? She asked. Well third is IV fluid is basically just water. I smirked and activated my powers and broke free of the straps holding me down and got off the bed. The woman in the room started to scream and cry a bit. Please don't hurt me I had to drug you! She said with tears in her eyes. I'm not gonna hurt you. Promise? She asked. Yeah I promise why would I save you if I was gonna hurt you later right. Right about that. She started to say but was interrupted by the door opening and a tall man with glasses and slicked back black hair walked in. It was a test and you can say you passed. He said. Mr. Mustang sir ! The woman said as she gave a tiny salute to him. He laughed. Your dismissed Miss Vance I'll take it from here. Yes sir. She said all gidey and waved bye to me. Hope we can talk again. She said as she walked away. Ok you wanna be the one to tell me why I'm here. Take a walk with me kid I've got an offer for you. He said. We started walking down a carpet hallway with a bunch of rooms with beds. So I hear you're rather talented. Managed to take down three train military officers. He said. Yeah I guess. Look i can save us both a lot of time and effort here I'm guessing you know I have powers and your little trap was your way to find and recruit people like me. Close actually didn't know you had powers till you got here. But suspected something based off what Miss Ives told me. He said. We walked till we reached a whole new section of the building with military personnel we walked to an office and he had me take a seat and he took his seat. The desk Lt. Col. Mustang.  Wow a bit high ranking to be handling recruitment dont ya think ? Kid I had to be this high ranking to do this kind of recruitment. He said. This is q special branch of the military that is secret. We are looking for people like you to join us so we can start fighting back the evil in the world. So what do you say kid will you join meta and fight with us? He asked. Ok I'll join only if you meet my conditions first. He nods. Ok speak. He said. Ok first you guys pay for or supply whatever I ask for no questions asked. Hmm done next. He said. No one but you gets to know my name but no one outside of this building gets to know I work with you not for you. How are we gonna pay you if we don't know your name? He asked. Don't worry about that i will set up an account for you to use. Ok done anything else? He asked. Yeah this one is super important again I don't work for you I work with you. I will pick the assignments I want to take I will not kill anyone or be used as a weapon clear. I will only do covert missions for you. That one will be harder but done hope your worth it kid. He says. Well we will find out. So you said I can know your name what is it? He asked. Its Ryan Ryan snow but you guys will call me Hydro. Well Hydro anything else you need? He asked. Yeah actually there is you guys have a tech lab here? He laughed. Yeah we do downstairs bottom floor guys name is Alex go nuts. He said as he pointed to the door. I walked out and went down the hallway a bit and ran into Miss Vance. Oh hey I join up with you guys. Hey that's awesome I can't wait to work with you. I'm Kandy by the way. She said. Well Kandy same its nice to meet you too I'm Hydro. Hydro? She asked. Yeah my name is a secret so I go by Hydro ok. Oh do you know where the tech lad is mustang said it was down stairs? Oh ok and yeah the elevators are over there. She said as she pointed at the back wall and there were three silver elevator doors. Thanks, see you later. Ok see you later! She said excitedly. I got it the elevator and saw that there were eight floors and three sub levels. I press sub level three since Mustang said the bottom floor. When the doors open I know I'm in the right place because there are weapons and tech all over the walls and floor. Ok I found the right place for sure. An explosion goes off and a black smoke cloud came from around the corner. I hop over some stuff and checked out what happened. There was a super skinny guy with blonde hair emerald green eyes and glasses. He was at a big desk with stuff all over it. Are you ok man? Yeah I'm fine. He said while coughing. Umm who are you by the way? He asked. I'm the new guy I need some gear. Mustang told me to come here and see you. Well yeah I figured that or you wouldn't have gotten in here it's a military building. He said. Fair enough I'm hydro. Hydro? What kind of a name is that? He asked. The kind that keeps me a secret. Fair enough. He said. So what is it you actually need from me. Well to start a grapple gun something not to big but strong. Alex smirked and started to laugh follow me he said.we walked to a steel work bench filled with junk he cleared some of it off and pulled out a black case and opened it. He pulled out a grey looking rectangle with a grip on it. Its compact bu more useful than any grappler gun ever. It's got multiple lines inside it and each line has a super magnet on it and it wont let loose unless you turn it off. It can pull you or whatever its connected to at high speed so careful each line can hold about 300lbs. There are six lines in total that can be fired from the front and back to convert it into a zip line. He explained. Ok say I wanna grab something not metal like a person there a way for that to happen. Each magnet end also has claws at the end so it can grab anything and the launcher can stick to any surface. He said. Wow how many have you made? Two. He said. Two why only two? Government said it was too expensive to produce. He said. Oh well can I have them both if not just one. Take them you break or lose them that's on you not me. Anything else you need? He asked. Yeah I need a suit. Are we talking Men in Black or Kingsmen? He asked. I started laughing. I'm talking more bullet proof kind. I don't have anything really bulletproof on hand but give me a few weeks and I can change that. Guessing you will want something maneuverable and not to heavy right. He said. Yeah I have some designs I'll send you. Ok now that sounds like fun work. In the meantime there is some tactical  gear over there take what you need. Anything else ? He asked. Yeah i need smoke pellets, flash bangs, shurikens, explosives, and ect. That's all weapon stuff easy weapon at that over there on the back wall . He said. Anything difficult? He asked. Yeah I need something that can run this. I pull out the AI system. Alex takes it to inspect it. Wow this thing is super advanced where did you get it? He asked. I took it back. A friend gave it to me you were able to tell it was advanced just by looking at it ? Umm yeah it's easy. He said. Anyway, give me a minute. He said while walking away. He was rummaging through some things around the corner. He came back with a big laptop. This should be good enough to run part of it but you will need to find something bigger to get it's full potential out of it. He said. Ok I'm just gonna go mess with it over there. Oh no your not that is a beautiful piece of technology and I will not let you break it. He said. He took the AI and the laptop and installed it for me. There you will have to find a bigger power source later but this will buy you a few weeks. He said. Thanks I'll send you the plans for what I need made as soon as I can. Alright have fun. Alex said while he walked away. I sat down with the computer and was just staring at a black screen. Then in white letters across the screen it said how can I help you sir ? I got my phone out and called mark. Hey man yeah I'm fine I'll explain later. But I got what we needed. Everything we need to start.
