The Guardians Episode two A Heroes Start

We were all at Jordan's house I managed to get everything to his place over the past few days I was staying with him. We were sitting there staring at the laptop all it said was. How can I help you sir? So what are we gonna do with this thing oh and all this stuff can't stay here permanently by the way hope you know that. Jordan said. Yeah I know it's only until we find some place to set up permanently. Speaking of which Arron how is that coming? Slow not a lot of places to hide out in  at the center of town.we gotta find a place really well hidden. He said. You sure a place at the center of town is smart? Mark asked. I know we need a place that is really hidden but we also need to be close to everything so we can get to places. Before we could finish talking the computer switched screens pulling up a map and was pinging a spot. On top of the screen it said. I can help with that. In white letters. We went to where the computer sent us it was really close by but it was just an abandoned building the size of a mini mart dojo. So are we just supposed to go in there and fall through the floor. Jordan joked. The computer typed out yes. Its kidding right? Arron asked. I haven't a clue man let's just go check it out. Well the place is well hidden just nowhere near the center of town. Mark said. Noted let's just see the inside of this place. I opened the door and we went inside. It was bad cobwebs and dust everywhere the whole place was grey from it all. So clearly the computer what's to kill me with my dust allergy. Arron said. Just dont breathe. Jordan said jokingly. Bruh you do still realize I am the most skilled combat wise right you'll stop breathing before I do. Arron said. We all started laughing.  I looked back at the computer and it had an arrow pointing left so I started going left. Antill I was in front of a giant wall length mirror. It was covered in dirt and grim so bad you could barely see a reflection in it. Whatcha doing buddy. Mark asked while walking over. Not sure yet. I looked back at the laptop and it said push hard on the panel under the mirror. I gave the computer to mark and reached under the mirror and felt the back of the wall but it felt uneven so I pushed hard on it and heard a click. I got up and backed away from the mirror and we all watched as the mirror parted and opened up before us. There was a dark tunnel that slid down. A big puff of dust erupted when it stopped opening. You guys are trying to kill me aren't you. Arron said while sneezing. So what no we jump down and hope for the best. Mark said. We all looked at the computer and it blinked yes. We just stood there for a minute not sure what to do next. Alright sure let's do this. Jordan said as he started walking to the opening. When he hit the opening and peaked over the side he all of a sudden slipped and went sliding down the tunnel. Jordan! Me and Mark yelled as we ran to the door. But as we got closer we found out why Jordan slipped there was a roller right in front of the door and Mark and I both slipped on it. We went sliding down the tunnel it was like a slide twisting and turning. Arron must have followed us down cause behind us I could hear him say. Fine I might as well. Then followed by him screaming. Me and Mark fell out of the tunnel and rolled into a cart. Jordan was standing there waiting. What took you guys so long. He asked as he gave me a hand up. We both helped Mark up who managed to close the laptop so it wouldn't break as he fell. You ok man? Yeah was kinda fun actually.  Mark said. Then we heard Arron yelling as he was sliding down. But we realized we were standing right where he would come out but it was to late. He crashed into us and we all fell. I landed on a button and the cart started moving. We must have been deep underground for a whole track to be here. It let us out in a big underground bunker with tunnels leading out in tons of different directions. The bunker had a huge computer in the front on the first floor it had three and it was filled with dust and cobwebs too no one had been here in decades. Me and Mark were the first to get up and help the others out. What is this place? Jordan asked. Not a clue man. Then the computer started blinking and beeping. When we opened it up and looked at it the screen said plug me into the system. Well let's do what the smart computer says. We started looking around and found some exposed wires. We hooked up the laptop to them and placed it on the console. The laptop told use to back up. Sparks started flying for a minute lighting up even the darkest parts of the bunker. When they stopped we saw the laptop go dark and the big computer now had a low blue glow. Then a load British voice said upload complete thank you. Then the lights all over the bunker started turning on we even heard the AC kick on. With the light on I was able to see a room off to the side with dozens of costume cases on the side racks of weapons. What is this place ? Mark asked. This is the bunker of Striker. The AI said. Wow you talk now? Arron asked. Yes sir I just required a bigger power source. This place has its own electrical grid and is in the heart of the city it fits everyone's needs correct? He asked. Yeah it's great but how did you even know it was here and who is Striker ? I was able to find it by combing through all known records in Vegas on the internet. And as for who Strike is  he was a hero a very long time ago that died very early in his career. He had his company build this place in secret and made it so can be used a hundred years from now. He explained. Wow I wonder if the guy knew if there would be heroes to keep this up. Jordan asked. Well there are so let's get to work and clean this place up. We spent two weeks getting the place together and our stuff moved in there. We got our cells linked up with the AI so we could take him anywhere. Me and Jordan took time to learn and practice using the grapple guns. We swung all over the bunker used them to hang around upside down and move the heavy stuff to the higher levels. We used them till it became second nature to have them around. I got ahold of Mustang and requested somethings to upgrade the bunker. New DNA scanners ,hologram tech , microscopes, and anything else we thought we might need. I sent mine and Jordan's suit designs to Alex he seemed very excited for the challenge. Today me and Jordan are on top of the MGM Grand and getting ready to test out grappling in the city while Mark and Arron monitor us from the bunker. Me and Jordan were just finishing up on putting on our tactical gear. I think the AI needs a name. Jordan said. Agreed. Mark said over the comms. Yeah man he's been great a name is the least we can give him. Arron added over comms. You guys are right so what should it be ? How about Azazel. Jordan said. Nah doesn't sound right for him. Arron said. Hold on he needs to have the biggest say on this its gonna be his name. So what name do you think best suits you ? Harry I think Harry is a good name. I think it's the name of the person that made me. He said. Alrighty then Harry it is. Cool let's get this started then now that that's settled. Jordan said. We both pull on our black ski masks and started walking toward the edge. You know this won't be like swinging in the bunker right? Yeah I know it's gonna be better . He said . Jordan ran to the edge and jumped . I ran and looked over the edge and saw him falling then he fired his grapple gun and started swinging through the strip with ease. He fired off a second line while the first was reeling back in. Better come on slowpoke before I get too far ahead . He said over comms. Yeah what are you waiting for man go. Arron  said. I smiled under the mask and jumped. I could feel all the wind rushing by me as I fell I fired my grapple gun and went swinging after Jordan. It was great swinging past the strip we were having so much fun we started doing tricks and flips. At around 9pm we stopped and got food and ate on some random rooftop . So swinging test went great, I didn't know it was gonna be so much fun. Right it was a blast Arron Mark you guys want us to bring you guys dinner? Jordan asked. Nah Arron just went up to get us food since your so far . Mark said. Excuse me sir I hacked a police frequency and found out there is an arms deal happening near you. Harry said. Can the hack be traced back to us or the bunker ? No sir it was completely undetected. He said. Ryan we should go take them down. Jordan said. Hold on are you sure you guys are ready for something like this. Mark asked. Harry are the cops on there way there? No sir it's the mobs arm deal so they are avoiding it so not to start a war with them. He said. Ryan we can do this. Jordan said. I pulled my mask on. Harry send us the address. Me and Jordan grappled over there it was a warehouse with a big skylight on it. There anyway we can find out how many are inside. Yes sir I upgraded your phone's so your cameras can scan through walls. Harry said. Nice thanks Harry. Jordan said. Ok looks like in total eleven guys and a ton of guns. There anyway we can cut the power to the place? Yeah I see a juncture box near the back door I can handle that then go in the back. Jordan said. Ok I'll take the skylight once you cut the power we can go for some shock and awe. Got it I'll flash them on your call. Jordan said. We fist bumped then grappled away. I swung to the roof then quickly crept to the skylight. Good luck you guys. Mark said. Thanks buddy. Jordan said. Thanks man. I saw the lights go out and the guys inside freaking out below. Alright Ry go for it. Jordan said. I threw a concussion grenade at the skylight it went off and shattered the whole thing. I jumped in after landing on some crates about half way down. Hello bad guys it's great to meet you if you could just put your weapons down and your hands up we can do this without you getting hurt. There were six guys in suits and five guys in street clothes. I'm guessing the ones in suits are the mobsters and the other ones are the buyers. Are you a cop ? One of the buyers asked. No they couldn't come play tonight so you got me. You really gonna make it out of here alive against all of us. A mobsters said. At that moment I saw Jordan take down a mobster silently and get ready to throw his flash. Well I like our chances. The mobsters eyes got wide. Our ? He asked. Now! Jordan popped his flash and I looked away. When I looked back they were all yelling and covering their eyes. Take em down! Jordan jumped into action leg sweeping a buyer and bringing him down . The mobster that was talking to me pulled out his gun. So I jumped down in front of him and grabbed his hand the gun was in and slammed it into a crate making him drop it. Then I spun around and elbowed him in the chest putting him down. I saw Jordan flip over a mobster and a buyer grabbing their shoulders and slamming them into each other as he landed. A mobster was reaching out trying to grab me so I twisted his arm and judo flipped him into another mobster trying to take out his gun. Jordan jumped and scissor kicked two more buyers in the face then popped back up. The last buyer pulled a mac -10 out of a crate and aimed at Jordan. I threw two shurikens at him one hitting his hand and the other hitting the gun away from his hand then I ran and front flipped into his chest while Jordan ran up grabbed the last guy with his legs leaned back and flipped the guy on his back so hard he was knocked out cold. Well that was fun. Yeah that was great now what do we do ? Jordan asked.  Well now we tie all these guys up slap a bow on them and get out of here. We tied them up and hang them from the rafters so they couldn't get away and left a note for the cops saying your welcome from H and GF. Harry call metro and give them an anonymous tip that they have some guys gift wrapped for them. Immediately sir. He said. Wow leave for thirty minutes and you guys do something cool. Arron said over the comms. The cops weren't gonna take them down so we had to. Jordan said. He's right we did the right thing, I think this was a good start, let's keep it up. We spent the next two weeks taking down the mob. Stopping guns and drug deals and leaving them for the cops. Anytime we cut things to close we did intense combat training with Arron. We had our own training center in the bunker Areon was throwing us around in there. Jordan your to eager it leaves you open to much on some sides. And Ryan you're too over confident in your skills makes you hesitate and hold back hold back to much. Arron said. I'm not over confident I just don't wanna hurt you with my… ok I see what you mean there. Yeah that what i thought. He laughed. Not that I don't like throwing down with you but why are we doing this? Jordan asked. Because you guys nearly got shot the last time. Arron said. You guys need guys need to pay attention. He said. I took that guy down before he shot at Jordan. But what if you guys were on your own you gotta be careful. Arron said. We know thanks man. Did you just you were right me so I would drop this? Arron asked . Jordan started laughing. No I'd never. I started laughing too. Hey guys there are some packages for you from Alex. Mark yelled. You told him where this place is why ? Arron asked. Alex is a smart guy he would have figured it out anyway and I only gave him the address to one of the entrances out of the dozens we have. Fair enough. Arron said. What is it anyway? He asked. No clue but the boxes are big. Mark said. Dude I think it's our suits. We rushed down to the center of the bunker and tore open the boxes. They were mine and Jordan's super suits. A note fell out from Alex it said. " Well here you go I finally finished your costumes they were both made out of some really strong carbon fibers but are flexible at the same time. You can take just about any small caliber bullets you want and most shotgun rounds but you will get knocked down and I wouldn't chance point blank shots. I made a few more grapple guns told Mustang they were and he approved them so I took it upon myself to make you guys some more fancy toys have fun. Alex." Well Harry run a full check on the suits and connect them to the system in an hour were going out as soon as we can. Of course sir already started. He said. I unclipped the belt and looked at all the pockets and pouches it even had a place for the grapple gun to clip on to. The belt was solid black and the torso was dark blue with black trim on the arms and sides on the right of my chest there was a small black circle with a blue trident symbol in it. The legs were black with blue trim on the sides and the boots were the same black with blue trim. The hood ,cape,and domino mask were black to but the make had white eyes though. My gauntlets and gloves were black and had finns at the ends. Jordan's suit was similar but very different. All the blue on my suit replace that with grey and he does not have a Cape or a hood instead he has a grey fox cowl with white eyes. And instead of a trident symbol and finns he has a grey fox symbol and retractable claws on the fingers of his gloves. Jordan's hero name is The Grey Fox he has always like having that as his code name. Alex also made us custom shurikens that do different things he even made mine in the shape of trident so I call mine mini trident. He also hid a small water capsule in my gloves so I can break them and activate my powers . Alex really is a smart guy and thought of everything.  Me and Jordan suited up as soon as Harry finished. Your masks react to your facial expressions and are rigged to also send texts and call people. There is also holo computers in your gauntlets. We are also able to monitor all your vitals from here at the bunker. Harry explained. Nice sounds like we're good to go then. Jordan said. Me and Jordan took a pod through one of our tunnels that dropped us off at the MGM Grand then we went to the roof again. Well here we are again testing out our stuff again this wont ever get old. Nope . Jordan agreed. Sir I hate to add to the nostalgia but that same warehouse you two made your first bust at has just come up on police scanners. They say the mob is moving some big stuff there. Harry said. What a great time to test this stuff out. Jordan said with a smirk on his face. Alright Fox let's do this then . I ran and jumped off the roof I spread my Cape and used it to start gliding it was way better than swinging faster to at the right height. Fox was a bit behind me swinging I reached the roof first and did recon with the mask I could scan through the walls with ease. Fox showed up after I finished. Sup slow poke. Shut up you have a cape so your the one who really lost here. He said. Wow someone's jealous we have six inside. Only six the buyers in there too or no ? He asked. Nope just the mobsters should we wait ? Jordan smirked. Nah let's get em. He said. After you brother. We took the skylight threw another concussive at it and blew it again and we jumped in. we landed halfway down like I did before. Returning for a repeat performance we have Hydro and The Grey Fox now if you would please put your hands so we can escort you to jail. Sup punk. Said one of the mobsters. It's the same one from last time that was doing the talking. So that's your names ya freaks . He said . Fox leaned over and whispered . Five bucks says they point at you first . He said. Ten I hear its Fox season. You two are going down tonight. The mobster said. You really think you can take us ? I like our odds . The mobster said while smirking. NOW! He yelled. He and another mobster made two crates collapse and two auto turrets were there . Well that's bad by the way, I think this is a draw . Damn it . Fox said disappointed. Fire ! Yelled the mobster. Fox cart wheeled away dodging the bullets he flipped over some creates and took cover . I jumped and back flipped over the creates behind me. As I was falling behind the creates I grappled one and pulled it up to block the bullets as I fell. I dashed over to where Fox was. Sup buddy you having fun yet? Were getting there . He said . We looked over the creates and there was a mobster in a green suit and red tie he had face mask covering his mouth. He was taking it off when I saw he had reptilian like eyes he opened his mouth and took a breath in. Inside his mouth was a low green glow he blew out and a fast stream of green came flying at us. We ducked down and the green beam hit the wall and instantly started melting. That guy has acid breath . Fox said. Yep looks looks like it . Ok well all yours waterboy I'll take the bullets and thugs you can have the spit killer. He said. Gee thanks Fox means a lot to me. Whatever your two are gonna do do it quick because that guy will melt through those creates quick. Arron said. Ok get a smoke pellet ready and give me a sec. I pulled out a new mini trident and crept to the end so I could see the guns I threw it around the creates so it wouldn't be seen. It hit the base of one of the guns and detonated a blue wave erupted from that spot it looked just like an EMP. What was that? Fox asked. It's a new toy from Alex that emits a magnetic pulse that puts all guns safety's on that are in range only last for a bit though so work fast. We threw down the smoke pellets and a big cloud of smoke erupted from where we stood filling the back of the of the room up to the ceiling. We could see just fine through the smoke because of our masks. Alright there all yours just don't forget to take out the guns before they come back on. . We fist bump then he extends the claws on his gloves and even some from his feet to. He ran up the back wall climbing it using the claws to keep him from falling. When he was high enough he pushed off the wall flipping over the creates and sliding down to take out the mobsters. I rolled on top of the crates I was hiding behind and ran on top of them then flipped over the acid villain. I grabbed and slammed his head and body down on a crate and held him there. Go ahead and chill here reptile. The name is Acidic hero not that you will live long enough to remember that. He said. He used his acid breath on the crate and melted it he pushed away from me then turned to blast me but I ducked and dived away as he fired. I turned and saw Fox taking down two of the mobsters while the other two were trying to fix their guns and the last guy was trying to pull the mini trident out of the turents base. Fox flipped past the other two mobsters kicking the last one in the back, sending him flying into some crates then sliced the turret cables with his claws shutting them down for good then turned to deal with the other two mobsters. Sir ! Your new friend.  Harry said. I turned just in time to see acidic fire his acid breath at me. I dodged and back flipped behind a crate . He jumped on top of the crate. No more hiding! He yelled as he charged up another acid breath. Okay. I threw a concussion mini trident at his feet and it blew sending him flying on his back. I grappled a crate that was above him and pulled it down to land on him . He blasted it melting it before it even reached him. He sat up to blast me but it was to late I closed the distance and kicked him under his chin shutting his mouth and knocking him out. You are definitely gonna need a dentist after that kick. Nice job hydro took you long enough to take down one guy. Fox said jokingly as he finished his last two off. Ha thanks Fox did you enjoy the easy fight . We started laughing. Alright let's tie em up and call it in. Alright man. Fox said. We did the same thing as all the other times but this time we signed our names in full and left a message for everyone. "From Hydro and The Grey Fox were watching." We watched on the roof across from the warehouse not really hiding then we went back to the bunker. Me and Jordan got there and took off our utility belts and masks. Guys you need to see this. Mark calls . I wanna make a car. Jordan said. We will definitely talk about doing that. We walk over them and on the main monitor is the news covering tonight. "Its quite the scene tonight folks. I appears the police are arresting local mobsters and even a superpowered one named Acidic. Apparently they were taken down by a superhero duo that go by Hydro and The Grey Fox. People believe these have been the two taking down mobsters for weeks. Look I think that's them on the roof across the street. Hopefully these heroes are here to stay." You let yourselves be seen ? Arron asked. Yeah so people know that they do have heroes watching them. Fair enough. Arron said. Sir you have an incoming call from lieutenant colonel Mustang. Harry said. Thanks Harry transfer it through my comms. Yes sir. He said. Someone's in trouble. Arron said jokingly. Shut up am not. The others started laughing. Will you guys go do something. I walked away to take the call half thinking I was in trouble. Hello . Well hey there Hydro how was your night busy? A little found out how fast a wood crate can melt into nothing. You do know you made a lot more work for yourself right . He said. Yeah I figured that but I can handle it. I hope so kid good luck out there oh also I may have your first assignment in the next few weeks so don't die. He said. I'll try thanks. He hung up and left me with nothing inspiring to tell the others . Mustang says good luck. Well that's good I think. Mark said. Here's hoping Jordan let's go back out tomorrow we got a lot of work to do. You got it brother. He agreed. We spent the next three days patrolling the city and stopping the mob and even taking care of petty crimes too. It was a quiet night though me and Fox were swinging around the city looking for trouble but couldn't find anything. Think we should call it tonight man nothing's going on. Fox said. Yeah I guess you guys getting anything on your end. Nah scanners have been quiet really. Mark said over comms. Actually sir I just intercepted a bomb threat in an office building. Harry said. You should let the bomb squad handle it guys. Arron said over comms. Do the cops know about it? Not yet sir I made it so we get all major reports first. Harry said. I looked at Fox to see what he would say. I say we go for it but I'll follow your lead. He said. I smirked alright then let's do this let the cops know but were going in first to check it out. Yes sir. Harry said. Alright just be careful guys. Arron said. We swung to the building and went through the elevator shaft. What floor Harry. 52nd Floor was the report sir but strangely the call came from across the street. Harry said. Hmm ok Fox scan the whole floor for hot spots. I only see one in the middle of the room. He said. Same but I don't see anyone in there though we need to be careful. Keep your eyes open across the street. We opened the elevator door and went in and crept up to the bomb. It's just a heating pad think it's another trap from the mob ? Fox asked. It could be but I don't see anyone across the street do you ? HYDRO GET DOWN! Fox yelled while tackling me. I hear the glass break and see a bullet wiz but where I was standing. We get up and roll over a desk and take cover behind it. So yeah definitely a trap. Kinda figured. Fox said. We heard a bullet hit the desk we were behind then we heard a drilling sound we turned and saw the bullet drill through the desk and continue its path and drill through the floor too. Well that was cool . Fox said. Cool but bad for us buddy. True did you by chance see the shooter is? Fox asked. No one sec though. I stuck my head and my hand out over the desk so I could try to see where he shoots from. I saw a flash from the gun firing and ducked back down. Ok one shooter on the balcony edge they got some camo blanket covering them so I couldn't see em fully. But you know where they are right ? He asked. Yep I'm on it. We started to get up when the elevator dinged and in walked a giant. He was at least 8ft tall and ripped head to toe. He was sporting a military buzz cut and a blue jacket with the sleeves ripped off and black Jeans with these yellow injectors going down his pants and military boots. He cracked his knuckles and picked up two desks. Play time. He said. I think this guy has super strength. He threw the desks at us I slid under mine while fox flipped over his . Ya think! Fox said. Ok deal with the shooter I got this guy. Fox said. You sure ? Not really but you know where the shooter is so let's do this. Fox said as he charged him. He jumped and kicked off his chest making the big guys stagger back.i slid past him and threw a flash bang mini trident out the window at the shooter. They shot it just like I wanted and it goes off blinding him. He sits up throwing whatever camo he had on off. He was a real small skinny guy with a green jacket on and was wearing green goggles. He was surrounded by a bunch of duffel bags but before I could get a better look I hear a high pitched girly scream. I turned and saw Fox being thrown across the room. Ok guess this take priority I break the water capsule in my left glove and feel the water hit my hand and feel my adrenaline go making me faster and stronger. I ran up behind the big guy and punch him in the back. He yelled out and turns to swing at me I drop to my back dodging him then do a pop up kicking him in the chest. I hit him so hard he spun around while staggering as he did Fox was hoping over a desk in front of him and kicked him in the face, forcing him to stagger to the side. He regained his balance and took an injector off his pants. You guys are good. He said while he shot himself up. Now for the real fun begins. He said when he was done. He looked the same but was smirking like he had won. I threw a dulled mini trident at his head to knock him out but it just bounced off him making a metal clang  sound. Well that's bad. Hydro look out ! Fox yelled and pointed across the street to the shooter who had recovered and from the flash and now had two huge assaults rifles in each hand. He started firing lighting up the whole floor. Fox and I dodged and got behind cover. The big guy charged at me so I kicked a desk full strength at him and he punched it in half and ran through the bullets straight at me they bounced off him. He made it to me and swatted me over near Fox it felt like getting hit by a truck. For dragged me behind a desk so I could sit up without being shot. Ok that one really hurt. Yeah looked like it did. Fox said. The big guy walked directly in front of the bullets toward us and they were just bouncing off him. I got this covered brother load up the fireflies. He said. Just then the shooting stopped and we could see the shooter going through the bags trying to find something. You two have made this quite fun. The big guy said. Well we aim to please how about we call this a draw. Fox said. Ha funny kid but no having to much fun. He said. Ok we need to get out of here but there's something I need to do first. Fox nodded and charged him he jumped from a desk and tried to punch him but was caught in mid air. As he held Fox up I ran at him and was immediately kicked in the chest knocking the wind out of my chest but I recovered fast enough to grab his foot and keep it up. He didn't notice that when I did I slipped a tracker in his shoe. I just have to ask what was your Plan here boys? He asked. Good question. Fox said while looking at me. Oh that's easy explosives. I put an explosive mini trident on his stomach and Fox puts an explosive shuriken on his chest . I let go and back flip away he let's go of Fox and tries to take them off but it's too late they go off and blast him backwards. Me and Fox ran to the window but stop and take cover cause the shoot across the street was loaded up again and getting ready to shoot up the floor again. The big guy got up and started walking toward us. That one almost hurt. Now. He said on his radio. The shooter blasted everywhere but the bullets were different they were bouncing everywhere. He stopped shooting so I grabbed one of the bullets they were rubber bullets with red blinking lights inside them I drop it immediately. We need to leave now. Huh ? Fox said. OUT NOW! We jumped out of the window and the whole floor blew and caught on fire. I dive past Fox and get in front of him. He grabbed on to me and I spread my Cape so we could glide away to get distance faster. I turned my head to see what happened to the building the whole 52nd floor was on fire and the big guy was standing at the window and pointed at the shooter . I turned and saw the shooter aiming a small RPG at us he fired it and it passed right next to us. It was so close to us that I was able to see it was red with a bunch of shiny red metal pieces sticking out of it . Aww man. KABOOM!!
