Rosepaw's perspective.

I padded up to Whitepaw and asked, "Who's this new tom?"

"Oh! you haven't meet Dimpaw! He's been with Rainleap for the past moon or two. And he still has to stay with her for two moons." The grey tabby apprentice replied.

'That's why he had a different sent, he smelled of herbs!' I presumed.

"Rosepaw, come over here please." Frostwisker asked. I padded toward him and saw Dimpaw. His tan pelt shimmering in the sunlight.

"Yes Frostwisker?" I sat in front of him, as the tan apprentice sat beside him. "I don't think you've meet before, correct?" he asked and gave Dimpaw a lick between the ears.

"Hi... I'm Rosepaw." I stuttered shyly. "Hello Rosepaw, I'm Dimpaw." He replied quickly. "I... I..." I didn't know what to say! Especially in front of a warrior! Even though he wasn't my mentor

"Rosepaw, why don't you and Dimpaw talk for a while. I need to see Rainleap." Frostwisker said and padded off to the medicine, cat's den.

"So," he muttered " I'll be going now... But see you later, I guess." He said and walked away.

I blushed. Wait can cats even blush?! oh, whatever!

He walked back with two voles and pushed one over no me.

"So your the new apprentice!" He exclaimed. I'm guessing Frostwisker told him.

"Yeah, me and my sister Whitepaw." I replied.

----

"I'm supposed to stay in the Medicine cats' den for a two more moons. And I won't become a warrior until I've done my apprentice training." He said a bit darkly.

I could see he unsheathed his claws and muttered. "I will kill him...."

"You okay Dimpaw?" I asked with cautiousness.

"Oh, uh, yeah!" he looked over at me and gave a quick smile. But returned to muttering some dark words like "rule", "kill them"

'I know he's not okay but sti-' my thoughts were trailed off by a voice.

"You will grow strong young one, but keep an eye on those closest to you. For they may soon become your enemy." the dappled red-and-white cat spoke.

'What does it mean?!' I thought. Then turned to Dimpaw. He was looking out towards the forest, claws still unsheathed.

"All those old enough to battle meet beneath the HighStone for a clan meeting," the leader spoke harsh, and saddened words. All cats gathered around the HighStone and muttered back and forth to each other. "What's going on?"
