Me and Brandon are now outside the dorm building. We all finished bringing everything up, now it was time for Brandon to go back home. Which was only an hour away.
"I'm gonna miss you, Brandy." I said quietly. I wrapped my arms around his waist, and he wrapped his arms around my shoulders and neck.
"I'll miss you too, kiddo. But I'll only be an hour away, well call and text all the time, and you'll have Ethan with you whenever you need anything." Brandon said, Kissing the top of my head.
"I love you." I said.
He chuckled slightly before talking. "I love you too, Mackenzie."
"Have fun in college, but not too much fun, ok?" He said, pulling away from the hug.
I giggled and let go of his hug, but still held on to his arms, as Brandon's arms were holding mine.
"I'll be back in two months, then Ethan will take you home for Thanksgiving, ok?" He informed me. I nodded.
"I'll see you soon." I said, he smiled then pulled me in another hug.
"Go back to your dorm." He said pulling away. "I have to leave and I don't want you to watch me leave. It's hard enough for myself to leave you here."
"Ok, I love you big brother." I said as I tried to keep in my tears. We said our final goodbyes, for now, and I walked back into the dorm with my key card Ethan gave me.
Once the big wooden door was shut, separating me from the only person who has been with me since our parents died. A tear slipped out of my eye, before slowly leaning off the door and walking to the elevator.
Arriving to my new dorm room door, there has been two trails of tears running down my cheeks and down my neck. I wasn't sobbing crying, it was more of a silent cry. I haven't sobbed cry in front of anyone in forever.
I opened the door, and Ethan moved his attention from the TV to me. I kept my head down, but I noticed his facial expression turned soft as he stood up and walked over to me. Without a word, he picked my head up, wiped my tears, then pulled me in a tight hug.
He's been friends with my brother since before our parents died. He's been there for us whenever we needed anything. He also knew how close I am with Brandon. Once it was just us, I became strongly dependent to my brother. He knew this was going to be hard to not have him in my life everyday, and I was thankful at least Ethan was with me now.
"I know you'll miss him now, but once you start classes and make some friends, you'll hardly notice he's not here." Ethan whispered in my ear. I nodded my head, as I snuggled closer into his neck. He chuckled at my action, before pulling away. "Alright, lets get your stuff arranged."
We pulled apart. We spent the next few hours making this dorm, my home. We laughed and had lots of fun. I quickly got over the fact that I said goodbye to my brother, and started to enjoy college life with Ethan. We spent this time making my bed, and filling my dresser and closet. He would make jokes that had my laughing hard enough to stop breathing for a second, and we would occasionally get into mini pillow fits.
"It's 6:30 and I don't feel like making dinner, so I ordered pizza. It should be here soon." Ethan said, going back to work on my black wired shelving set that will stand above my bed. I said I could do it, because it's like a giant puzzle, but it wasn't a "Principessa type job" according to the Italian himself. If I'm being honest, I think he just wanted to show off whatever he's trying to show. But it was funny to see him on the floor, trying to figure out how to set up a shelf.
After my bed was made the way I like it, with the comforter I've been using since I was seven sprawled over my bed, I put my stuff in the bathroom. I grabbed the small box filled with toiletries, and walked to the bathroom. I'll admit, I was one of those weird girls who loved a big bathroom. And this bathroom was huge!
A two sink counter, a counter to ceiling mirror (with a line of light bulbs along the top of the mirror), a big walk in shower, a nice bathtub with jets, and of course the toilet. The bathroom had a nice marble counter/ grayish wooden bathroom floor. I was in a small awe from the modern looking bathroom, but quickly shook my head and shut the bathroom door behind me. If Ethan saw me, he would've seen me looking stupid.
I placed shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower, then went to my sink closer to the door. Ethan had his stuffed all over the left sink, leaving me with the right one. I nicely laid out my face wash, toothpaste, toothbrush, and hairbrush. I had a cute little three drawer plastic thing that I was thought was cute. I placed that in the corner, and filled the drawers. The first one was hair clips, bobby pins, and scrunchies. The second drawer was q-tips, and cotton pads. The third drawer was empty, but I'll fill it soon.
Next I filled the actual drawers I have. Ethan and I each equally have six. Three on the left, and three on the right. The first one on each row was thinner than the rest. On the right, I put my hair straightener, hair dryer, and the silicone pad that goes on the counter to protect the marble from the hot straightener, into the top drawer. I realized I needed that when I accidentally burned a hole in the counter at home. The drawer under that held more hair products. Heat resistant spray, a water spray bottle if I need it one day, and my hair scissors for when I needed to cut my bangs again. The top drawer on the left, I basically dumped my makeup bag into it. All the little bottles and containers and brushes went in that drawer. The second drawer on the left held my bigger eyeshadow pallets.
I don't wear makeup a lot, but I have all this makeup for special events. I usually go with bb-cream, concealer, and mascara on a normal day.
Once everything was set in place, I sighed happily and walked out of the bathroom, right when Ethan was shutting the front door with a pizza box in hand.
"Finally! You're done with the bathroom. Lets go eat and watch a movie!" Ethan said, nodding his head to the couch.
