I sat next to sean who was holding a cup of warm coco. I leaned my head on his shoulder and rubbed his hand. "It'll be okay" I reassured him. He smiled and then looked around the room. I looked at pictures, decorations, trophy's, everything, then back at steven. "Is it warm enough for you?" He asked. "Oh yeah.. feels nice and toasty" sean smiled. "I gave daniel some cough medicine, But you should've taken better care of him.." Claire came back. "I tried but.." I trailed off. "You were lucky, Steven can I talk to you for a second" Claire said. Steven got up and left us alone. It was a moment of silence between me and sean as we heard faint bits of their cpnversation. "Fugitives.....Guilty..in our home" Thoes words hurt me and I stared down at my legs. "D..did we make a mistake coming here" sean asked squeezing my hand. I shook my head. "Their family.. Im ure they'll help even if it's just a little bit" I reassured him giving his hand a squeeze back. "I love you" he whispered out. I felt my cheeks heat up. "Love you too sean" I replied smiling. Claire sat down in front of us and Steven sat next to her. "You alright honey? Want some tea" She asked. "Im fine" sean replied. "Not thirsty" I answered. Claire and Steven seemed nice, I remember them being very open and talkative the last time I saw them, they haven't changed much. "The police called us a few weeks ago.... they're looking for you as.. suspects for a homicide" Claire explained. I looked down and sean squeezed my hand again. "If you want us to help you, did you.. hurt that police officer in Seattle?" She asked. I looked at sean. "I-i dont know.. I swear I don't" he said. "Too much happened and we're still trying to figure it out, I promise we're just as confused as you" I explained. "but.. All i do know is that... He shot dad... And now he's gone" sean said leaning on my shoulder tearing up. I reached my hand over and pat his head feeling some tears pour out of my own eyes. "Sweetheart's I am so sorry foe your loss.. but" Claire said rubbing our hands. "Why did you run away if your innocent?" Claire asked. "I didnt want daniel to see dad, like that... I felt like I had to protect him and (Y/N) and it was the only thing I could think of" sean explained. Claire and Steven looked at each other, then back at us. "I understand.. but.." Clair trailed off. "You know they would've separated all of us, Maybe even forever..." sean said sadly. "Daniel would end up in foster care" I hated that idea. His smiling little face All alone. "You can't be sure.. Anyway at least you've managed to come here alive" Steven smiled changing the subject. "We're glad you three are okay" Steven smile grew wider. "I hate to think what could've happened to you, and even what did.." Claire looked at the both of us. "You need to think of long term solutions now" Claire explained. "I tried.. I swear" sean's voice sounded tired and sad. "But... I can't do everything" Sean shook his head looking back at Claire and Steven. "Well what are your plans?" Claire asked. "Go down to Mexico, to Puerto lobos dad owns a family house there" sean explained. "Sean.. you can't run away from the law like.. Fugitives" Claire lectures. "How can you look out for your girlfriend and brother If your all running from the police?" Claire sounded concerned and a bit mad. "You are gonna stay with us" Steven said. I gave him a tiny smile. "Steven... maybe we should.." Claire put a hand over her husbands. "After your mother left your dad never really wanted us in your life.. I can't blame him" Steven said. Sean nodded. "But your still a part of our family, we want you to prove it okay?" Steven said putting his other hand on Claire's. Sean looked at me and smiled a bit. "Seriosuly? Thats.. Really nice steven thank you" Sean smiled at Steven. "Okay, but we have to lay down the ruled of the house" Claire said. "No mess, no noise or no service" Claire explained. "The biggest rule is keep your heads low around here.. Beaver creek is small and nosey.. and well nosey" Steven chuckled and I smiled at him. Daniel walked in the room. "We can stay?" He asked happily. "Serious? Awesome!" Daniel said climbing in the chair next to me. "Oooh (Y/N) guess what" I looked st his princess pajamas and chuckled. "What?" I asked. "You guys will stay, at least until Daniels better, we'll see what happens next" Claire explained as daniel kicked his legs in his chair. "Oh! I bet your hungry" Claire said getting up. "Yes!" Me, sean, and daniel all said in unison whoch made Steven and Claire laugh. We all smiled at each other excited to have such nice people take care of us.

I laid in between daniel and sean as we laid on an actual bed again. "How do you feel, superwolf?" Sean asked. "Way better, it's nice and warm in here" I ruffled Daniels hair. "Good" I smiled at him. Claire opened the door "Feeling better?" She poked her head in. "You look cozy" she walked in and sat at the end of the bed. "Yeah" daniel said. "Mhm, we sure are" I smiled at her. "You sure you're okay with sharing a bed? I can always take the couch" Sean asked. "No thats fine" I said. "Oh sean, You dont have to sleep on the couch" Claire said smiling at her grandson. "I live this bed, thanks grandma" daniel said as Claire touched his forehead. "I checked earlier, his temperature is down"I smiled. "I feel way better now" Daniel smiled. "You still need to tske it easy" sean said. "How about we say a prayer and, give thanks?" Claire asked. "Is it like? A bedtime story" daniel asked. "No silly, It's like a wish" I explained. "Well, it is a bit yes.. but the story comes from up there Claire explained pointing up. Daniel laughed "the ceiling?" Sean facepalmed. "So, are we ready to pray?" Claire asked. Mushroom" Claire prayed. Me and daniel giggled at the addition of mushroom. "Please, give us the strength to get over the hardships of the past and the trials yet to come.. Amen" We opened our eyes and smiled. Claire reached over and rubbed Sean's cheek, then rubbed mine, then the same to daniel. "Okay, bedtime get some rest" Claire smiled. "Goodnight grandma" daniel said. "Night claire, and thank you" I smiled. "Goodnight and, thanks again" sean said as Claire turned out the light. "Feels nice to have a bed again" daniel said. "Whatever" daniel pulled the covers up to his shoulder. "Claire seems pretty caring" Danile relaxed. "And sreven is too" Danieln added. "The important thing is, You have time to get better" sean said. "And actual medicine to help" I added. "Guys?" Daniel asked. I hummed a response. "Are we in moms old room. "Nah, dont think this is the one" Sean said. "I think Its the one down the hall?" I remembered a locked door that we weren't allowed to go in. "Could we, check it out tomorrow? Maybe find some of her stuff?" Daniel asked. "Why do you wanna do that?" I asked. "I just.. dont know anything about her" daniel explained. "Daniel I understand.. but we need to focus on where we are now and where were off to" sean explained. "She left buddy, she made her choice" I said rubbing Daniels head. "We've gotta make ours okay?"
