......
I always suspected that my mom was
doing something that she didn't want me to know about. How do I know this??
She'd hide away in the bathroom for an hour and sometimes she will leave behind some needles. Another sign was that she left the house for hours at a time. One night we moved into a new house but there was no WiFi just electricity and water and our mattress's. My mom left the house saying she was leaving for cigarettes and would be back in 10 minutes. I said "ok" thinking nothing of it since she leaves for cigarettes all the time. My sister and I were bored and after an hour of sitting there doing nothing we decided to color in a few coloring books we found in a box. I found a radio station that we took interest in and started listening to that. Since we were at a new house my 5 year old sister wanted to sleep with me so I let her sleep in my bed with me for the night. My mom left at about 5:30pm it's now 10:00 pm . I grew worried and started to think of what could have gone wrong. I couldn't call her on my phone since there was no service so at 10:00pm I decided I needed to call her. I woke my sister up and I decided that we should go to the neighbors house to call our mom up. I needed to bring her Incase something happens or so she doesn't do anything bad. I knocked on our neighbors door just now realizing her late it was. Yet I shook it off knowing our neighbors said we could ask anything of them if we needed it. They answered snapping me out of my thoughts they asked what's wrong and I told them that I needed to call our mom for she had left a while ago. They understood and let me call my mom. The phone rang twice then went to voicemail. I tried again but just got the same response. My neighbor looked at me worried asking if I wanted to stay the night. I put on a fake smile and said no thank you. She was probably wondering what kind of mom would leave a 5 year old and a 12 year old home alone. We went back home me holding my little sisters hand. As we walked in a made sure to lock the door and turn off the lights upstairs as to not waste energy and money. I thought "We don't want more money going down the drain form some damn lights" My sister fell back asleep and I stayed awake getting sleepy not long after. I started to write a note for my mom so when she came home she would know we were ok. As I was writing the note I heard a door unlock. My eyes widened in fear and looked around for weapon. I spotted a long wooden stick I didn't know what it was for but I knew it was something. I swiftly grabbed it and made sure not to wake my sister up. I turned off the light to the room I was currently in and quietly walked into the hall. I had the stick in my hand ready to face who or what entered the house. I saw the black figure as I squinted my eyes. I stopped and turned on the light. I was about to attack it then I realized it was my mom. I slowly put the stick down as she yelled at me "OMG ALLIE JESUS YOU SCARED ME". I leaned the stick by a wall "sorry" I said. She laughed and I heard my sister come behind me running up to our mom and hugging her. I faintly smiled but then I asked my mom "Hey what took so long...again...". She glared at me and simply said "None is your business now off to sleep you two". I huffed as I walked my sister to my room to go to sleep while my mom went to the bathroom with her purse. I always wondered what she did in there I thought "drugs" and my brain simply said no no NO we have a normal family and she would I never do that to us.
Right??!
