a serving girl was holding a pitcher of wine she was so thin, her skin was sickly pale, she had dull lifeless eyes, dark black and purplish bags hung under her emerald eyes tiredness seeped from her frail form every now and then Legolas and Thranduil gazed at her hollow eyes that were fixated at the front wall of the room, an elf was sitting at the table talking in whispers to the king about council business, the elven girl collapsed on the floor the pitcher next to her leaking the expensive scarlet wine. Legolas jumped up at the disturbing sound of her body collapsing onto the dusty terrace he rushed to her side " guards get this girl to the healers immediately" one of the guards picked up her body her head rolling to the side, he ran out with her " you get me all of the maids, cooks and head staff now" the other guard rushed off. The workers all stood in a line waiting for the prince to reveal why they were brought here " the maidservant who is she" Legolas asked his father and the lord watching him closely, the head maid replied " she is a lazy nobody, she is always late and sleeping about" the other maids scowled as the maid talked dirty about her" silence, leave us for a moment" Legolas snapped he gestured for her to be taken out. " Take her away for a few minutes, take her far enough so she cannot listen in," Legolas said before looking at the remaining elves " is what she said true" Legolas asked pacing in front of them "no she works harder than anyone, she is like us malnourished and underpaid, she gets less paid than us though, she has enough coins to get scraps, she rarely eats, sleeps or do anything but work," she said in a sincere voice. " Sire she fainted due to not eating or sleeping for a week, the head maid has not paid her in a week almost two and said she was being punished," another said "so you are saying that the head maid has not fed, paid nor let her sleep in a week, why" Legolas questioned angrily, " because she is gorgeous by all elf standards, she wanted her out of the way so she could get to you, she wanted to bed you," one of them said cautiously. All the elves in the room shuddered in fear, Thranduil looked bewildered at Legolas's agitated, enraged and piercing scowl at the wall " guards seize the head maid and take her to the dungeons until I say so, no visitors" Legolas roared in fury, all the guards ran out terrified for their lives, Legolas's suppressed rage was more terrifying and brutal than his father's wrath they would rather get barked at by the frost king who was smirking with delight and a father's pride.

Legolas turned to the maids " if I were to replace her who do you all suggest I replace her with," Legolas asked " the girl who fainted, she's always kind to us and looks after us, she's is understanding doesn't snap at anyone always doing more than she has to without being told," one maid said the others nodded in agreement "when she wakes and she feels better, inform her you can go see her if you wish, take as long as you want," Legolas said waving them away. They grinned rushing away " I'm very proud of you but mad I was not informed of this," Thranduil said as Legolas sat next to his father again Legolas got up walking out " where are you going my son," Thranduil asked " archery practise," he said walking out to the arena that was used for training, it was a huge grass field with weapons ranging from bows, spears, swords and many others as well as targets and dummies.
