(3rd Person POV)
"Has she woken up yet?" Captain Rogers asks.
"No, it's frightening how still she is. I think she may be in a coma for a while and he's worried Have you found the pills yet?" Natasha answers.
"No, and we can't find the boy. I have a wild theory. And if it's correct she's going to be crushed."
"Okay, well go and see. We'll be here waiting."
(Two hours later)
"We have them! And him." Thor shouts. "Great, hurry, we need to get these in. She's barely breathing." Banner says, taking the bottle and running to his lab. Twenty minutes later he rushes to Anna's side, an IV bag in his hand.
He slips the needle in her vein and holds the bag so it can flow. Slowly, the medicine works its way into the girl and the team watches anxiously as her eyelids flicker.
(Anna's POV)
"Thank you. Can I eat now?" I say groggily as I wake up. My skin is shiny with sweat and my head is still spinning.
"Haha, yes, eat, you must be starved. Thor ate all of the poptarts, but I'm sure we can find you something." Tony says. "Jarvis, can you let our other guest know he is needed in here?" "Yes sir." A robotic voice answers from the ceiling.
Alex burst into the room After a few minutes. "Anna! I'm so sorry! I'm so glad you're better." Captain Rogers blocks him from getting to me. "Son, you want to tell her something first?" Alex looks guilty and falls silent.
"Anna? I, um, Jamesismyfriend." He says quickly.
"What?! You-you lied to me! After all we've been through!" I scream.
"Anna-" he starts.
"No, just, no. We're through." I cry and throw my pillow at him. He catches it then let's it fall to the floor, and leaves with a hurt look on his face.
"Go get Loki." Captain Rogers says to Thor and everyone leaves. I sniff and cry into the pillow Captain Rogers hands me.
I'm curled up and completely covered in blankets when Loki walks in. "Hello. Its nice to see you're awake and well." I shift to face him, my head still under the covers. "Can I see you or are you just going to hide and be upset?" "You can see me." I say softly, but not moving.
He starts to pull off the blanket but stops after he can see my puffy, tear stained face. "Oh my dear, what did he do to you?"
"He ripped my soul out and shredded it. He lied to me. The guy who was there for every panic attack, every therapist, everything." I say sobbing.
He calms me down best he can and hands me tissues. "Some people are not what they seem. I used to be one of those people. By the way, what is a panic attack?" He asks suddenly.
"It's when I start to hyperventilate, and my heart beats fast, and a bunch of other bad stuff happens and I have to go to the hospital for special treatment. It's nothing good." I mumble.
"Ah, I will watch for that. I have made it my mission to help you to be happy and calm. What can I do to make you that way?" He asks.
"It's fine, you don't have to do anything, I'll get through it by myself. I wouldn't want to take up any of your time. You are a prince after all." I sniff. He sighs and starts to say something, but closes his mouth and leaves.
Loki comes back half an hour later with several grocery bags in his arms. He lays them down on the bedspread and dumps their contents before me. Several quarts of various Ben & Jerry's ice cream, some popular chick flicks, tissues, and a bouquet of beautiful red tulips lay in front of me. "Is-is this all for me?" I ask quietly. He grins and nods. "I did some research on things Midgardian females like after a relationship has ended." I stand up and throw my arms around his tall frame in a hug. "Thank you."
We watch Dear John and I eat five quarts of ice cream and get a bad brain freeze. I clutch my head in pain and cry out, Loki looks over worriedly and shouts for help. "Are you alright? What's going on?" I shake my head and squeeze the comforter tightly. "What happened? Is she okay?" Tony says, running into the room with Pepper.
"I-I don't know, she was just eating her frozen treat and then suddenly she was clutching her head." Loki answers. Pepper starts laughing a second after she realizes what it is by looking at all the empty cartons. "She's got a brain freeze. She'll be fine."
Tony starts laughing with her as Loki looks at them like they're insane. "'Brain freeze'? What kind of Midgardian ailment is that?" He asks.
"She just had too much ice cream in a short amount of time, that's all. You probably couldn't get it because of your heritage." Tony says as Loki nods. They leave and Loki looks at me. "Are you alright?" He asks. "Yes, I'm fine. Don't worry."
We finish the movie and afterwards I walk around Stark Tower alone. It took a lot of convincing for Loki to leave me alone, but I finally got the trickster to.
Tony's robotic butler JARVIS talks to me occasionally, telling me interesting things about the Avengers. I'm looking around trying to find another human being when suddenly all the lights shut off in the hall and I'm left in the dark hallway. I'm reminded of all the horrible thing that happened in the dark while I was with James and start having a panic attack.
I curl up by the wall and start crying. The lights come on a second later and Loki appears before me. "Anna! What's going on? I'm so sorry, I was just trying to scare you a little, not send you into this." He picks me up bridal-style and teleported us to Dr. Banner's lab.
"What's going on? What's she doing?" Banner asks as soon as he sees us.
"She's having a panic attack I think, please help her." Loki pleads.
Dr. Banner starts taking my blood pressure, and shines a light in my eyes. "Her heartbeat is extremely fast and her pupils are dilated." He observes and gives me some pills and a cup of water, which I gladly take. A few minutes later, I'm breathing and my heart rate is back to normal. Agent Barton, Natasha, and Thor have appeared once they had heard I was in trouble.
"How'd this happen?" Thor demands. Loki starts to speak but I cut him off. "I was lost in the building and got scared, Loki found me and brought me here."
That seems to appease the god of thunder, and he doesn't ask anymore questions. Dr. Banner gives me a bottle of pills and tells me to take them next time I have another attack.
Loki leads me out and to the guest room I'm staying in.
"I'm so sorry. I didn't mean-" He starts.
"I'm fine, really. It was an accident right?" He nods. "See? No harm done." I smile and go into my room and shut the door.
"Madam, there's a fully stocked closet of clothing that should fit you courtesy of Miss Romanov and Miss Potts." JARVIS says from a hidden speaker in the ceiling. I thank him and pull some silky pajamas on and slide into bed.
